A Case thread with............NO FLAME WARS PLEASE

3x6 Wave Case w/ organic rebound by John Barton
-it's almost as heavy and big as 2x4 Instroke but with more carrying capacity & pocket spaces
-sporty & quite a head-turner

Instroke Buffalo 2x4
-very easy to maintain (almost none at all)

Custom JB (perhaps in the near future when more funds come in)

I have an Its George soft fabric case. Someone gave it to me about 10 years ago. I like it because its very light. I can also stuff as many cues in it as I like, since it does not have dedicated compartments like hard cases. I keep my playing shaft inside the one fabric sleeve it has, and all my other butts and shafts I just stick in the outer part. My cues are all beat up after the years of battle that I'm not worried about any damage. I also leave my cues in the car year round, because I never know when I will be in action.

I use a plain tan Justis 2x4 most of the time. I like how light it is to carry and, of course, it looks great.

I also have a Murnak 2x4, which is a beautiful case with enough accessory room to carry lots of stuff, but it's on the heavy side. Someday I'll start using it. Right now it just stores shafts.

When I go out to play 3C, which is not that often unfortunately, I carry an uncarved Matcase 1x2. It's made extremely well with beautiful tan leather.

I also have a plain tan 2x4 Chas Clements case. He made it like I wanted, with very heavy leather. It turned out very big and heavy for a 2x4 and, as Chas said, it's "virtually bombproof". Anybody that wants to see it - I have an album of pics in my profile. I'd sell it but it has my initials on it (in my handwriting, which Chas carved beautifully). Short of my being elected president or winning a world championship - the latter is just as unlikely as the former - my initials don't do a lot for its resale value.:frown:

I have a 4x8 AVP case that I think is cool. I have a 2x4 AVP that is very classy.. looks like a tuxedo! I've got a Silver Fox with the sleeves removed and 3x6 loose tubes installed. I have a 2x4 smooth brown It's George with a short pocket that I think is good looking. I hve 3 Flowers cases that I'm afaid to carry... too collectable.

I'm going to have a JB case one of these days... when I decide on the design. I know it'll NOT have a bunch of rivets.

Main case: Giuseppe 3x6 long pocket...Heavy but excellent protection.
Bar tourny case: Giuseppe 1x1...Great inexpensive case.

What is or are you Personal Favorite Pool Cues Case, and why? What Configuration is it?????

http://www.ibcuecases.com/en/expositor.php

then click on "Cue cases exhibitor" then on "Ivan Belmonte" and you should see a black case with pony hair and a red interior, its very soft hair. Mine has hand braided leather handles that go around the case. Mine dosent have my name on it like Ivans does in Gold thread-perhaps next time. Its a 4X8 but dosent look that big. I carry my player, break cue, Lomax jump cue, Hagar extension, blue circle CB, my .380, knife, tip tapper, chalk, baby powder, sharpie marker, and meds in it. And its not even heavy-all things considered. It has great zippers, easy accesability to everything I need. But its a soft case so if Big Momma sits on it-crunch goes the poles. But thats not gonna happen. I like soft sided cases-this is the first one I ever owned. the room in for things is great. I could stuff $100,000 in it(with 2 butts and 4 shafts) not 4X8 its not that big, but not right now-biz is non-existant for me still.... :( So my cash is lite, sux. oh well back to cases...

For Travel(flying or shipping) Hagar cases are bullet proof, you can check it in and run it over with a 747 and your cue will be fine, the 747 might have tire problems:wink: And Hagar cue cases have the extenders built right in them. They are the most solid cases I have seen. Down side is they are heavy.

I love the looks of my Jack Justice case-it sure is beatiful, no doubt about that. upside is they are light.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

the cases above are what I been using the past couple years. the Ivan Belmonte case reminds me of something Gucci or Versace would sell if they made cue cases. its sexy as hell, shiny black hair with gold trim. Pimp'in

I love Fellini cases, old George cases, the case that JB built for Big Tattoo with all the flowers on it was a real special case for sure.

I really havent met a case I didnt like, I have a porper that i messed up the zipper on, it pisses me off yet I still use that case to this day-cues get stuck in it easy and for some reason that partucliar case has spent more time in the pool room and covered more miles than anything else i own.

My personal favorite was my old silver McDermott case. I modified it by sewing on a strap when I was 17 years old and I carried it for years. I loved the black plush interior and it was great.

Years later I made myself a 3x6 version of it out of leather and loved that one just as much.

I love soft cases with the right amount of love thrown in - they work, they are light, they get the job done.

For hard cases I have to say that the 2x4 works for me. But I carry a 3x6 because I always have extra shafts and butts that I have to try out or sell or trade or whatever....

I loved my first Porper. I was the first person in the Miscue Lounge poolroom in South Florida in 1987 to have one. I got teased for carrying a "golf bag" into the pool room.

When I got back into pool after taking a few years away from pool rooms tournments etc. I had to go to the Rivera during the BCA torunment for some reason and everyone had "Golf bag" looking cases to me, I was really suprised. When I dropped out of the scene a 2X4 George was a HUGE case. Now days its a relitativly small case. styles and trends I suppose.

I got a case!

i bought a case from John'texas express'McChesney
it is made from a 'lar' material[like kevlar] i replaced the
guts with a 3x6 gueseppe - this case is indestructable

my favorite storage cases are 6 and 12 pack O'Neils
