Yowza!!!! That's some serious money spread across that table right there! Its
an absolutely awesome display of some truly timeless beauties!!! I only
wish I'd be able to pick up a Bushka of my own someday. But alas, it will likely
never happen! But thanks for sharing.

I agree.......

Actually, I'm surprised this thread is still one page. I'm shocked that it hasn't
gotten more responses/comments. How many times do we see Bushkas posted,
and not just one Bushka but FIVE on one table!! This kind of of classic work is not only
incredbile from an innovation persepctive, but all these years later and they are
nearly still in perfect condition!!! Awesome display!

Really impressive collection you have tikkler.
Especially these gems! Timeless, classic beauties that never get old! I'm kinda
partial to the one in the middle myself. The simplicity and the uniqueness
of the butt are just so damn cool!!! Love the ebony titlist forearm and the
smooth black leather wrap! Just way cool and so classy. Thanks goes out
to Tikkler for posting some gems that we don't get to see everyday!

Mia, it is very interesting that five Bushkas dont recieve the interest they used to. But a very well done Bushka lookalike gets tons more interest on here. I guess times are just changing.

Maybe people aren't as smart as they used to be.

These cues set the way for the BB's, McWorters, Waynes, etc.. these cues made collecting cues a hobby. A hobby that then evolved WITH cuemaking. I read somewhere else that the new cues caused collecting or some junk to that effect and it's not the case. Artistic cues, piggybacked with the collecting of cues. It just happened to be at the time CNC and CAD became affordable. So now you have 3 parallel timelines that just happened at the right time. There were a few cuemakers ahead of this timeline, as they made their own CNC. Believe me that list is less than 5. Now as CAD and CNC became more prevalent and cheaper to obtain, more people are doing it.

I taught cad in the late 80's and early 90's. To drafters, engineers, programmers, etc.. I had guys who just wanted to know how to convert to G-code, and get their cnc up and running. As technology advances, more stuff is possible. Take your BB for example, 10 years ago, only one guy IMHO would have tried that cue.

But these cues were made using the BEST materials and methodology that was available THEN. These cue designs are still emulated today, and rightfully so. These cues were also made to play pool with, they weren't made to be case Queens. It's why premium Bushkas and Szamboti's bring the money they do.

Thanks Steve very nice. You and Joe may be right about the times. Some people just don't care as much about tradition. Too bad for them but Huray!! for the rest of us.

I think you would also have to add up the times he posted them for people viewing in months back. It would add up to probably thousands of comments on great cues from, who in my mind, is the man who set all standards on how a cue should be and how it should hit. Gotta share the love with any new people who may not have seen them back then :grin-square:...

There is no favorite, I like em all lol... Though the one I tend to be a little more fond of is not pictured. It would be the one with the extensive notched diamonds in the butt sleeve and the really nice forearm that tikkler posted a while back as well.

Steve - I'm totally in love - I can't believe all of these in one picture.

Thanks ever so much for sharing your cues.

Tommyd1 - Cue lover on a restrained budget !!!

PS: I hope they have a pool table ( Diamond ) in Heaven and lots of good cues to choose from

I believe this statement sums it up for all of us who know what a cue is supposed to be.
