Byrne's Advanced Technique in Pool and Billiards
Here is the companion book to the landmark Byren's Standard Book of Pool and Billiads--what every pool player needs to perfect his or her game. Byrne treats the finer points of the game with the comprehensiveness and clarity that have won him a loyal readership among the many thousands of...www.google.com
Speaking of women in billiards, here is a clip from a French film. It include a Simonis ad and a "No Masse Shots" sign.
Agreed!Wow, that doodle was great! Someone at google must be a pool/carom/history nut to come up with that. The writeup and shot graphic was clearly from someone who knows the game well.
The shot is a little fanciful but the artist seems to know his billiards.Thank you for sharing this. Love it!
For the shot in the doodle you need very slippery cloth -- like brand new -- so the ball keeps its spin for a long time. But that pattern looks really, really hard. Ask Florian on FleeceBunk -- he doesn't seem to have any carom masse videos on his YouTube channel. Can the 3C top pros make the shot in the doodle under tournament equipment conditions? How many tries would they need for it to be a fair bet?
Florian certainly has a well-developed 3-C stroke!talking about Florian "venom" Koehler. He just posted carom draw shots on his channel!
Here is Semih Sayginer making the shot pretty much as diagrammed but I'll bet that the cue ball has been specially prepared. The shot is at 4:00 if the link doesn't take you there. Can the 3C top pros make the shot in the doodle under tournament equipment conditions? How many tries would they need for it to be a fair bet?
