So the forum only allows 10 pictures per post so here are the rest of the pictures I took yesterday at Paul's shop.

This cue I almost bought a few weeks ago at the AZ meet and greet at Pool Table Magic. It's an Ivory handled MONSTER that really deserves it's own thread. The body of the cue is resin impregnated maple and all the white is Ivory. I had to take several detailed pics of each part of the cue it's just so cool. Just one word for this....WOW!!!

This next one is Ivory points with speartips into Purpleheart. If you look close you can see an additional inlay at the end of each point before each speartip. It's actually two separate inlays.

This one is an Ebony forearm and buttsleeve with Purpleheart points recut with Ivory points. It has additional Ebony and Ivory ringwork before and after the joint.
Take a look in the second picture and you'll see an Ivory oval with the PFD Studios logo in it. I should have taken a closeup of that.

This last picture is a group shot of some cues Paul has available. Please contact him for pricing or if you have any questions.

hey

CAN I GET AN IDEA ON WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO LET UP WITH THE pfd ADS

JUST CURIOUS IS ALL

Give me a break

What did you think the thread was going to be based on the title, if you don't like it don't read it.

At least he's showing pictures of cues most of us could reasonably save up for and get exactly what we want. You're very fortunate to have really nice cues and you show them off all the time and endlessly rave about Black Boar. What's the difference. We can't all afford to fly in the rarified air you breathe.

Oh, and I like Paul's cues, have 6 of them and another on the way. He is as much of an artist as anyone out there making cues, has the best wood available, and you get a lot of cue for the money. So there's another ad for you.

First of all I endlessly rave about every cue that I have....LOL And that is why I show them on here, because I really enjoy having people see these cues and enjoy them as much as I do.

I have never made a single comment comparing any cuemaker to another cuemakers work. This is beyond raving....its raving while BASHING. IMO not the kind of thing thats going to help this industry.

Ask Monstermash himself if I act like I'm breathing rarified air.....LOL

My point exactly

I wasn't trying to bash anyone on here or any cuemaker, all I'm saying is that you get excited about what you have, which you have every right to, people do want to see what you put up, and people appreciate you putting them up. Monstermash is obviously excited about visiting PFD and likes his work, and this is a place to display pictures of cues, so let him have his fun too.

All types of cues are up here every day from production to treasures, new makers first cues to master's proofs. People ooh and aah over Southwests that all look basically the same like they've never seen anything like it. We don't see tons of PFD cues, or Joss Wests, Blacks, McWorter, whatever. We see lots of the same makers all the time. Plus many of them are on here self-promoting on an almost daily basis. I'm fine with that too, if you're finding customers, you'd be crazy not to.

All I'm saying is that the two posts here are nowhere near the level of flooding the boards we've seen from others pushing the "next big thing".

Sorry if I offended you at all, and since you apparently know Monstermash, maybe it was a friendly ribbing that was lost on me. Best wishes.

Burt, I agree with everything you said here. no offense taken
take care

Wow! All this is ummmm....... interesting. Lol

I'm really not sure what to say here. These PFD threads were not meant to be an advertisement for Paul. The first cue in the other thread was just getting done and I LOVE Paul's new ringwork so I asked him if I could take a few pics and post them here.

The Davis blanks are some of my favorite cues from Paul. Well at least of those that I can afford. He does some truely unique designs that are way beyond my means. The Purpleheart into Ebony is actually my cue and I'm pretty excited about it. I should have it by early next week so expect some pictures of that when it's done.

I'm not sure how to respond to Steve (Tikkler). I had a chance to meet him at the AZ meet and greet at Pool Table Magic last month and we had a great time. Myself and a friend had an opportunity to play some pool with Steve and Mike Morgan and they were both very cool people. I had a chance to play with one of his Black Boars as well as a Titlist cue that Mike built and they both hit pretty good. Steve even gave me an advanced preview of the cues he brought with him to the show and I have to tell you, I was impressed. So much so that I almost bought one right out of his case.
That being said I'm wondering why Steve posted up and gave me $hit about these threads. As I said, they are not ads, just some cues that I thought were pretty cool and some happen to be available. I'm also pretty excited to get my new Davis blank wrapless cue from Paul next week. Additionally, I'm not sure why, but I have been getting a slew of emails regarding PFD cues asking whats available, contact info, wait time for a new cue, and pricing. I thought posting up some pics and mentioning that a few may be available wouldn't be a problem as so many others seem to think it's ok and do it very often. I mentioned which ones were available so I wouldn't have to answer a bunch of emails asking if any of them were available. I consider Paul a friend and if I can help him out with a post here and there I'm going to.
I actually offered to take a bunch of pictures for Paul and post them here of what is currently in the works and will be available in a very short time. I don't know about you, but I get excited when I see something that is near completion that I can add my own personal touches to and get it in a few weeks from someone like Paul. Yes I said WEEKS, not months, or years like many other top makers.

So if any of this offends anyone, I am sorry but a lot of others come on here and promote other makers cues so I feel I should be able to as well.

Oh and Supersport.... Rep to you!!!

Those are some great looking cues!I haven't seen many PFD cues and i really like what I've seen! Thanks for sharing the pictures of your visit!

i am sure that Steve was kidding more then anything else but i could be wrong.

You're probably right Lee. The only problem is that without the use of emoticons or acronyms such as "LOL" it's hard to tell the intent of the poster. After spending some time with Steve I thnik he's a great guy so I'm hoping he was kidding.

i don't care whether this is reckless enthusiasm or advertizing.everytime i see a post about Paul Drexler I chime in and compliment him too.He has made me several ivory wrapped cues, a marqutry cue that is out of this world and can be seen on cornerstone now. If I want something no one else can do,I call Paul Drexler.I am expecting a cue with a bunch of tiny parts making the big pic of something like an American Indian,I think I will have it soon,I would tell you more about it butPaul told me he will not talk to me till its done,it seems I offered advice one time and messed up the whole deal.

Now I am not allowed in the creative end of things,I don't like this but the cues have been much better

Wow "man i love that green ..

The first cue is breath taking

I always wanted to call and ask if he would build me a cue. No one can build a prettier cue than Paul Drexler. He has exicuted cues that are just amazing.
I need to look at part one. I missed it.
Thank you,
Nick :)
