I feel like this needs to be said and everyone needs to hear this. Chris Hightower is sincerely a professional when it comes to the cue making business and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a first class cue.

I bought a break cue from him a few years ago and I wore out the tip so it needed to be replaced. I took the shaft to him during the Super Billiards Expo and asked him to replace it. He took my name and number so I could pay for it when the work was done. I got the shaft today with a new tip...the shaft cleaned and in the box was a receipt for $0.00 owed.

I have always thought Chris' break cues were the best out there and recommend them to everyone, but the case of dealing with a pure gentleman in this regards makes doing business with him even more a pleasure.

Chris I thank you greatly and wanted to thank you publicly so everyone else can hear how you conduct your business.

I got my start in cuemaking from Chris. I sought his advice many times and he was more than happy to give it. I've played pool with him and his son.
A straight up guy and a gentleman through and through. :)

I recently bought a few small items from him and was very pleased with his promptness and communication. I'd do it again.

Best,
Mike

I have Chris's deluxe lathe and now his inlay machine. If you have any questions he will take the time to answer. His shipping time is spot on.

There isn't a more professional business man. His equipment is top notch, his cues etc. You can be sure he stands behind anything he sells hand down.

Can't say enough good about him.

Chris is a great guy. It is no surprise to read how well he treated you. Thanks for sharing a great experience.

One of the ladies on my pool team has two of his cues....both are absolutely gorgeous, and play like a dream.
He and Isreal used to play on the Fury tour I ran in Georgia a few years ago...they both have a pretty sporty pool game.

I must say that I do not like the designs of many of the cues that I have seen made by Chris. But, that says nothing for there quality which I also understand is very very good. Chris in my opinion has given much back to the cue making industry, and he has also been very helpful to all I have seen ask for information, he stands up for his principles even when out numbered, and I have never seen him have a negative thing to say about others.

I personal have had situation where I did not agree with things he said, however, I still can respect his comments because of the way he presents himself, and the mthods he has used to make his point. I wish I could conduct myself in the manner he does even when attacked.

I've got to say he's extremely knowledgeable about cue making and the history of cue making.

I've dealt with Chris recently on some equipment and he was willing to take the time to answer my questions that would probably be simple and annoying to someone with his knowledge. He is great to deal with and I would recommend him to anyone. He is truly an asset to the billiards industry.

I met Chris about 10 years ago, at the BCA Trade Show. He was there with a couple of friends from GA...one of which had a billiard supply in the Atlanta area (IIRC his name was Harley). Chris was then, and always has been a gentleman, and knows his stuff about cuemaking. Very friendly, and willing to share information. He was one of the first cuemakers, I think, to produce a how-to video, and even offered a weeklong class to teach you one on one. If I remember right, the cost was $2000+, but you were guaranteed to be able to 'make' your own $2000 cue (under his guidance), while you were there! I thought that was an amazing offer! Nice guy!

About 10 years ago Chris helped me (via long distance phone calls)
convert a small Delta lathe to do cue repair work. He was very nice and extremely helpful. Couldn't have done it without him. I am still using that same set up. Chris is absolutely a stand up guy and probably knows more about cue lathes and making cues then just about anyone on earth.

I have to agree,
Every dealing I have had with Chris has been a positive one!

Chris literally wrote the book on cue building. I learned more about cue building from his book than I did from any other single source. I also own one of his lathes, and I have to say that it is the most versatile piece of equipment in my shop.
