? About Riche Risheson

HUH ?
Well, as a B player, you would have been getting the 8 ball from Richie (I didn't spot games on the wire), SO, if you were on the hill and missed the 7 (you'd have won if you'd made the 8 or 9) and Richie ran the set out, then you would have lost.

I hated running those weekly 'handicapped' tournaments (due to the the complainers), but I did it for 7 years and it ran very smoothly with players that couldn't run ONE ball (sometimes with b.i.h) and players such as you, Richie Rich, Short Bus Russ, Tony Crosby, Richard Broumpton, Benny Conway, etc. and any Pro passing through town.

Doug
( nobody won more weekly tournaments than local player Ed Porter, but he got married and quit pool and took up online poker )

Thank you Doug...I feel a lot better now. Those were some great tournaments...you did a great job running them. Johnnyt

Richie plays pretty sporty 9ball too, a few years ago he was giving one of our locals the 6ball and the last 4, and was stuck 14 games at a $100 a game. the other guy broke dry and Richie put an 8pack on him, broke played a safe, got ball in hand and put another 6 on him, needless to say the guy was done!
Richie plays as good as he needs to, bet against him if you don't think so!

I think I've told this before but, when Richie Rich first came into Planet 9 Ball and entered the weekly tournament he was knocked out early. He hung around and offered ANYBODY a race to five for $100 getting the 'last five balls'...
He took on and beat all comers, including tournament winner Ed Porter.

Ed had won more weekly tournaments at P-9-Ball (over 60) than any other player in the Tampa area over seven years.
Later (and more than once) Richie Rich also played Ed P. $100 a game nineball and Ed won if he made ANY ball (not on the break) during a game. They broke even at this game.

Richie was a joy to watch, bouncing around the Diamond table and firing the balls in from anywhere and banking 'em dead center. When he and Benny "Little Goose" Conway were running together there was ALWAYS action.

Richie Rich, Little Goose, Donnie Mills, Will Bilbrey, Dan Lavoie and a host of other could keep the joints jumping....

( there were always enough lobster players around for a seafood FEAST ) :)

Ah, that was me. I watched Richie regularly here in Florida for years and when he's 'bouncing' around the table, he's hitting them great. When the bouncing diminishes and he's beginning to walk 'normally', the tide is usually changing.... imo

I imagine he was "bouncin" around for quite some time after the spankin JUDGE JUDY gave him.

Adam======> bounced for awhile after he got spanked

RICHIE'S speed: DEPENDS;) :)

The bounce is good- I usually look for the mouth movement;)

THIS is a really accurate assessment and about as good as can be done. Very fair and I especially like the noteworthy part about "speed labels can be subjective......fluctuations." I agree 100% with the group you have him compared to as well.
Nice realistic post and shows you know your players.

I place Richie`s game in one pocket in upper mid level pro( close to top pros) and 9 ball game in bottom level pro.I first saw him gambling around 18 years ago.

By the way when it comes to marathon gambling he is a grinder like jose parica.

How many Americans do you think could beat Ritchie playing one pocket?

Shannon says 10 in the world ???

I say there are 25 - 30 in the USA, off the top of my head - in a 6 or 8 ahead set.

He is not a shortstop. A shortstop would be someone like Josh Stone that was seen at the DCC.

I think shanon said that there arent 10 players that can give Ritchie the spot that cliff was giving him.

He said Cliff isn't supposed to have been giving Richie that much weight... so by that logic... only Efren is supposed to be giving Richie that much weight.
