ABP boycotts Berhman's event

You know I love TAR personally and consider both you guys good friends.
In my opinion TAR is one of the greatest things to happen to the pool world since jump cues. LOL
I do not know who wrote this and I emplore who ever did it to man up and sign your name to it ! I know it is one of our boad members and a friend . I just don't know which one .
I love comentating for you guys and I promise to never be an ass again like I did at the Bad Blood match ! I have no excuse for that one. I should have kept my personal feeling to myself and I promise to never do that again if the fan can forgive me ? I AM SORRY
You know you can ask me anything. If its personal I will PM you and Never air your buisiness on here publiclly.

I just gained mucho respect for you here Shawn. That match really made me dislike you but you manned up and I appreciate that.

Fortunately there are fans on here who we do love and respect in return. Thank you for your support, and coming to our aid, defense, and love.

And thank you to Tony Robles who has just called to have his name added to our list of not attending the US Open 9-Ball. Reyes, Varner, Bustamante, Immonen, Van Boening...We know more of our brothers will follow.
Although I support some of your goals, I think you pros are shooting yourselves in the foot with this boycott. Without support from the pros, Barry may very well decide to cancel the US Open next year. Find a way to work out your differences without resorting to a destructive boycott.

BTW, with multiple players using the ABPpros account, you folks would have more credibility if you would identify yourselves in each posting. Does Shawn speak for Johnny? I certainly hope not. Please identify yourselves when you post.

Maybe I'm a little naive, but I don't see where the boycott is going to do anything to effect the U.S. Open. Half the players on the list aren't even from the U.S. Only two players from the U.S. went to the world championship, didn't affect that at all.

So, some of the top players won't be going. That might actually be a good thing for Barry. Less entries that he has to cover for past winners. And, you better believe that a number of people will play that normally wouldn't. They think they might actually have a chance now! At least to get in the money! Who wouldn't like that on their resume??

All the players are doing right now is shooting themselves in the foot again. Now, they don't have a chance at getting paid, since they won't even compete! I agree that something needs to be done about slow paying promoters. But, you have to have some clout first. They don't have any clout at this point. If they aren't there, it's just one of many tournaments that many of them aren't at. Their lack of presence won't kill the U.S. Open at all. They first need to set up some kind of actual tour and following so they have some clout.
that might be the dumbest thing i have ever heard. although this is not golf or basketball but imagine if Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and 40 more top golfers decide NOT to play in their US Open don't you think it WOULD effect the tournament. TV ratings, Sponsors, fan support. think before you act

This is the same guy who was on last night who wouldn't say his name. Whoever you are, you are making a bad name for the rest of the organization and aren't even man enough to say who you are. That's pretty sad.

Wow, how are you guys getting there? Private jets or limos?

And Rodney said that he received a cheque. I take it that it must have a post dated cheque. He mentioned that he had to cancel on 2 tournaments because of this. No other money in his name other than a post dated cheque?
He must have been 50 cents away from bankruptcy then. What if he hadn't even placed in the money? He wouldn't have been going anywhere either.
A pretty weak excuse if you ask me.

But keep going guys, I can see you losing more support with every post.
playing pool is Rodney's job. the only way he can get paid is to beat the best players in the world. he paid at least 2000 dollars to go to that event. he only got his 2000 dollars back. but he had to wait for his money. everybody in this world isn't rich like you so we have to do the best we can. barry bearman wouldn't let Rodney pay his entry fee with a post dated check nor would the airlines. hotels. etc. So why should he have to receive one?

my name is Johnny Archer. President of the ABP. Now what is your name?

My name is very clearly stated on every post I make. brandoncook26 = Brandon Cook.

Johnny, did you make the posts last night refusing to state your name? I don't believe it was you because you were with Putnam. I just want to know who made the posts last night before Shawn got on. The structure of this account is a bad idea for your organization if the person is not willing to put their name. It paints everyone in the same light instead of providing an opinion of one person.

If you didn't make the posts last night, I apologize for earlier stating you are making a bad name; someone however is burning some bridges anonymously.

ABP Executives. Why don't you simply insert you initials in from of each post.

JA: fkjsdhf kdfjlkdsj dsdl etc

SP: blah blah hfklhfaklakh

Hi Brandon. I did not make the posts last night. I don't know what was said. With everything going on everybody on our side is on edge. Things will probably get said from emotion. This problem with barry Bearman has been going on for a very long time. The ABP has been in talks with Barry for 14 months. The ABP did not ask for this. Your apology is accepted. THANKS

Is the ABP going to play in an unseeded tournament like the $25,000 Joss Turning Stone event?

In a nutshell:

Because, in America, both the pros and the promoters of our sport have not done enough to secure meaningful sponsorships so there could be enough money to go around.

I know that Mr. Behrman can be a p-r-i-c-k-l-y personality but, if your only real beef with him is that he doesn't pay everyone on the spot, then you may have picked a tough first battle.

I wish you guys good luck in finding a resolution. And that you can put together a workable plan for some long term progress. The US Open wouldn't be the same without having most of the players on your list competing in it.

And for the record, I think the vast majority of AZ members are great fans. They, and myself included, aren't wallflowers, though, and therefore are never shy to share an opinion.

Best,
Brian kc

I'll try to ask it again as polite as I can.

Is the ABP going to play in an unseeded tournament like the $25,000-added Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour event at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY?

This sucks waiting for an answer. It's like waiting for paint to dry, kind of like watching some of those ABPros play pool.

Johnny,
If you don't know what other ABPpros posters are posting, then you are losing control of the unified message that you're trying to make. Does Shawn speak for you? Does anyone else speak for you? I certainly hope not.

IMO, everyone using the ABPpros account must identify themselves. Better yet, there should be just one person using this account, preferably you. If other ABP pros have something to say, then they can say it using their own AZB account.
