Amazing that as soon as he wants to sell the US Open and Q-Masters, both are doing fantastic, revenue has doubled, etc.
In this interview he's tripping over himself a few times trying to balance between the "US Open is so expensive... I'm not rich... I'm doing the best I can to pay the players..." argument and the "Wow, the US Open and Q-Masters are doing fantastic!!!"
Said "I've got Coke and Pepsi banging on my door". Probably just need to get their quarters out of the vending machine.

Is it really that necessary to sell or buy the name "US Open 9ball Championship"? Yea, I understand he owns the rights to the name, but is the name really that important to carry on? IMO the black eye surrounding this event lately has destroyed any prestige the name carried.

When Mike Howerton threw him a curved ball asking him if someone has few millions and wants to buy who does he contact, Barry sounded stunned and fumbled for an answer- He must be secretly shocked that someone would be willing to pay few millions
Barry also tried to blamed the unpaid player from 2012 cos the player did not contact him-Mike didn't let him get away with that by saying that there should be sufficient funds in account to cover checks that are issued.
Barry said he and his CPA are discussing and will let folks know his price. So looks like Barry will not be cameo or guest , he will be lead actor on ABR

The whole hour can be condensed to a fraction. Barry was just regurgitating, rambling and repeating same nonsense and adding more promises, What he said about selling is nothing concrete and no different from what he has said before. Basically he will carry on with next Open until someone gives his good offer. Since he will be asking for unrealistic millions, there is little likelihood he will be selling anytime soon. His hyped up Qmaster sales numbers ($2Million sales per year) is an antic to jack up price. His talk about selling is diversion away from payment issue and also to gauge how much public sympathy he will get. What is sad is he may be coming up with more lies and fiction to cover his past unfulfilled promises. Small lies leads to bigger lies.
The name may still have some prestige but if someone organises similar event called "Not the Barry Behrman USA Open" puts up good money and gets WPA sanctions, I am sure many players will flock to it. Now some more with WPA paying $1500 to unpaid player from 2012, WPA must be really pissed off and WPA sanction may be removed anytime soon for US Open.

Kevin Trudeau was a smooth operator and in it for the money. There is NO comparison between him and Barry Berhman's ego-driven bull shit. An example would be the millions of dollars that he will hop a plane to Tahiti with after his time served.
Barry is no where near the caliber that Kevin was. Barry does do a tremendous job of hanging himself. Barry should fire his new "consultant" for not advising him to not do the interviews, and use that money to pay off the players.

Is he lying about hiring 3 new people? He had better be, because otherwise he would have extra income to employ that he did not repay to his playrs. Quite frankly, I am a little concerned about his decision to hire a POS expert. LOL
Barry prolly comps his self approx 26 times a day.

If Barry will sell the name, two questions will come up,
1. Who wants to buy it? If someone can set up an equal or more prestige tournament then why spend money? Lets say All American 9 Ball Open?
2. If someone really bought it, will the money go to the players he owe thousands? Or he will keep the money and goodbye?

I think he will find out nobody will pay for it. Even if someone changed the name of the event it's too big in that format for anyone to make money on. 25k added is even pushing it in the U.S for a tournament right now. Johnnyt
