"This is a press release from Accu-Stats about the upcoming Make It Happen 14.1 Invitational"
Only the Best at the “Make It Happen” Straight Pool Invitational

The “Make It Happen” Straight Pool Invitational, produced by Accu-Stats Video Productions will take place August 10-13, 2013 in the Simonis Arena at Sandcastle Billiards in Edison, New Jersey.

The players are: Danny Harriman, Thorsten Hohmann, Mika Immonen, Oliver Ortmann, and Ralf Souquet. These players were selected by Accu-Stats as the best straight pool players in the world.

For four days, these superstars will compete in a “Double Round Robin” format, a total of 20 matches, battling it out on a 9’ Diamond table with Simonis 860 cloth. Each match will be 75 points with a 30 second shot clock. Runs of “50 and out” or more may be continued for bonus money.

This is the third event in the “Make It Happen” series produced by Accu-Stats. Once again, we are offering an attractive $300 package to the public. Those who “Make It Happen” will receive:
All 20 matches on DVDs ($200 value)
Free admission to the live event ($160 value)
Free access to the Live Pay-Per-View on the Internet ($60 value)
Billiard author Phil Capelles’ “Break Shot Patterns” book ($50 value)
A commemorative shirt ($20 value)
An original 8”x10”group photo signed by the players (priceless!)
“Shout Outs” on the air
A listing of your name in the closing credits of each DVD
A chance to win $1,000 in our “Knock-Out Challenge”

The event will be streamed live as a PPV and recorded for DVD and TV production.

This will be great event, unfortunately i am not a fan of any of the players playing, i wish you injected one of these in the mix, Shane, Efren, Busti, Alex, Dennis, or even Earl, i would have considered buying the stream. Very sorry,I wish you high success.

These are probably the best straight pool players in the world, so I think Pat did a very good job. Niels would be in the mix, too, but otherwise, I'd say you got 5 of the top 6 in the world. Great Job. and you can put me down for one $300 spot.

I am really thinking about going but I have one question. If it is double round robin that means each player plays 8 matches x 5 players = 40 matches. Is my thinking wrong?

Thanks

Frank

I believe it's less than that due to the fact that matches count for both players. For example John Schmidt will have 2 of his matches against Mika, but those are also 2 of Mika's 8 matches.

If there are 5 guys in my "flight," and it's a RR tournament, then I figure on playing a total of 8 matches, two against each of the udder four guys.

Lou Figueroa
has figured
wrong before

Well you are thinking ok but not done with equasion yet.

40 is total of all appearences.

Devide 40 appearences by the 2 players in each match !
