Add Inlays Or Leave It Alone? Opinions Please

If you are not worried about value I say pimp it to the max. Maybe like that sweet one of a kind palmer that was posted a few weeks ago. 🤘🏻

If you have the means to have it done and really want it....go for it...it's your cue
Just make sure it would be Pete doing the work....don't know what all these guys are telling you to leave it....you would definitely be increasing the value of the cue and making it more appealing to yourself...that's a win win....

I think it would look better with the inlays, but to add and not take away value from the cue have Tascarella do them. Do not do it yourself.

Not sure why anyone is thinking I would attempt this myself. Nobody would touch the cue other than the Pete's.

The cue is beautiful now. Once you cut into it, you can never go back. Leave it as it is and play pool with it. JMO

Unless you convert it to a box cue,up and down
then i would leave it alone

i have converted to box cues before and i loved them

its like a old car worth $15000,spend $40,000 to restore and soup it up and it could be worth $20000
if you are lucky

i love it as is for what its worth. that wood is so sweet, it needs no further adornment. awesome cue

I said leave it because I figure keep it and also get an inlaid one. Be cause two are better than one. I wasn't thinking of the value. But since the value has come up I still say the same. Teo will be with more than one as well.

Of course, many will feel differently.

Not everyone can afford two. Myself included.

I understand. There was nothing about cost in the original post.

It was just a question about modifying the cue.

If cost is a primary issue, then I would get the estimate first. I assume the upgrades won't be cheap.

As far as whether or not you should have it done. I am kind of neutral on it. It simply depends on how much you want it done. If you really want it badly, do it.
