Alex challenges anyone to 100k match?

Shane already said in an interview he can't beat Alex. Shane also said the U.S has no chance in the MC with the 9 racked on the spot. Johnnyt

I think svb was specifically talking about one pocket in terms of not being able to beat Alex

Nullify break advantages.

If Alex is playing a lot and shooting well the break is the only thing that makes him an underdog. His TAR losses to SVB were due Alex having an inconsistent break and SVB packaging him to death. Alex ran balls better, played better tactical games, kicked better, but SVB hammered him with packages while Alex could simply not keep control of the table due to dry breaks.

I live Wu's game but a dead serious Alex in a huge high pressure money match? I am not sure I wanna bet against that... actually I know I don't.

Well it's a common hustling tactic to bet high and hope the other person can't play his game under the pressure ,, in this case we know Shane does well in this format , we don't know about Wu however what we do know is he's stood up to win world titles where Shane has choked under that same pressure ,,
I highly doubt Alex or Shane can stay with Wu unless he has a total meltdown he's simply a far better player and getting better everyday

Alex at his peak gear for "major" money is a different Alex then most usually see. He is intense and focused at the table and he simply does not miss and moves insanely well. Wu is a monster, I watched him play live before 99.9% of the people here knew he existed and was shocked how good he was. He would "be" the best pool player in the world today if he had not been sidetracked by BS early in his career due to politics. But, a focused triple serious Alex will put massive heat out there from beginning to end and nothing is going to be easy. I think Wu might shoot a little straighter than Alex, but I don't think he can move like him.

It would be an insane battle if they played.

Pardon my sidetracking, but could you explain about what happened early on in his career? Was it his choice?

Alex needs to use the Magic Rack or a non-slip step platform about 12" tall that he can use to rack the balls. I have to imagine that it is far more difficult for Alex to see the gaps between the balls because of his height.

OR, maybe he could get a little bear with a strong back.

Quite frankly until Wu plays somewhere other than Asia I'm getting a little sick of hearing how he's "the best in the world".

People said the same thing about Big Ko after he won the W9ball last year & then he ventured out of the sandbox & came to the states & got his ass handed to him in numerous tournaments by numerous players including Karen Corr.

After that stretch of beatings all the "best in the world" references sort of STOPPED as they should have, because he isn't.

The truth is that at that level of play, on any given day who's "the best" changes.

Sorry but why should people have to leave & play here when the money is better over there. I don't blame them for not wanting to waste their time with nothing to provide & little financial incentive.

Ko is one of the best in the world as is Wu & their track records have proven that so far in their careers with world titles to back it up unlike some others people to try to prop up as the best in the world.

No one has to do anything they don't want to do. It's just that every year after certain tournaments end people on this site are quick to bandy around that player is "the best in the world" when that's not necessarily true.

My example of how this occurred with Ko last year followed by tournament after tournament of proof he wasn't exemplifies that. People here are too quick to bandy that term around based on 1 performance. Here's something else to ponder.
1. Ko wins W9ball, "he's the best" then falls on his face tournament after tournament making it clear he's not.
2. Albin Ouschan wins China open last year, no one calls him the best in the World.
3. Albin Ouschan wins W9ball this year, no one calls him the best in the world.
4. Wu wins China Open, people say he's the best in the world, why? To some here it seems they'll only use that term for Asian players, quite strange.

As I stated in my first post, on any given day the difference between 4 or 5 players is very small indeed.

Major Breaking News from Face Bro.....

Alex Pagulayan has just personally asked me to post this challenge here .

Alex will play " ANY PLAYER IN THE WORLD " a race to 100 Nine Ball , Nine on the spot for 100k USD

Updated revision , in order to attract more attention and players Alex is willing to play a home and home 50k each but 100k must be posted

I'm thinking there must be some millionaire that wants to bring Wu to the table

Lets spread the word , please pm me with serious enquiries and offers only ty .

I'd like to add Alex is one of the most humble human beings on the planet , obviously Alex is running good as of late and feels great about his game and we all know he loves action and is a tremendous ambassador to the sport .

How about you Shane VanBoening ?

Group who has the best chance to beat Alex ?

Alan Sword John Mars Jayson Shaw Sky Woodward

Manny Stamatakis Christopher C Wilson Joanne Ashton Monte Thayer E.j. Glode Ozzy Reynolds Shane Sinnott Ed Liddawi Mika Immonen John White

I'd like to add Alex is one of the most humble human beings on the planet

No disrespect to anyone here but to say Alex is the most humble human being on the planet is the most un true statement I have ever heard. Every time I have ever seen him he has been nothing but a big mouth clown with a corona in his hand, If you seriously think Alex is a humble human being , You know nothing about the Filipino Culture, Alex is far from a true Filipino with real values and far from being a true humble person...

You wont define him for us. Plenty of us have met/ hung out/ witnessed him too.

You are entitled to your opinion.

He could win, but I think he would be an underdog against SVB, Orcullo, and probably Wu and Ko Pin Yi.

He would of course be favored against anybody in one pocket though

That's why he want's 9 on the spot, to take away Shane's advantage on the break.

I don't see Dennis stepping up here, and I don't think Ko want's anything to do with a long race after the way the last one went down.

Wu and Alex would make for a great match. So would Kevin/Alex,or Albin.

Geez
Why are you behaving like a bitter ahole and running down other players?
If you are so envious, next time you win a little tourney (no matter how small), please let me know and I will start a thread and proclaim you "best in world" ( in quotation marks) if that clears your cum :D

Alex has had great success in a number of events with the 9 on the spot, including the W9B and China Open. Everyone, and most especially Alex, knows that the weakest part of his game is his break and must feel this helps.

SVB has replied on FB that he'll play 10b, but Alex has previously said his 10b break isn't good enough so that's not going to happen.

Last I saw on FB, Shaw was interested and looking for backers and Daz offered that he would play for 50,000 pounds if Alex came to the UK (Daz claims he can only get backed there). Also offered a much bigger bet if they play 8b.
