Guys do you think the fact that SVB plays with a new cue (fisher cue, he used to play with a schon b4) he needs time to adjust to it.... I know 190 plus racks is enough to adjust.... what say.....
Hello,
Friend of mine asked me to clear this one up, Shane's Jump cue is a Fisher, His cue before last fall was a custom Joss w/ his name in the points, the cue he used from last fall until about a month ago was a 4 point schon, he recieved a new cue from Pat Diveny, He did shoot the challenge match w/his schon.
He's probly not comfortable with the diveny yet, and is to busy matching up and w/tournaments too switch, I don't believe he is sponsered by Diveny, pat just made him a cue to use, before anyone jumps me about giving someone a cue pretty much implies sponsership, NO IT DOESN'T, players of this level, usualy get payed for playing with cues,
Shane is comfortable w/my jump cue, he could switch at anytime, I gave it to him to use once apon a time, it was a b/j cue, His break used to SUCK, I out broke him big time, but guess who's out ruling the world, and guess who's in a shop building cues

not to mention his break isn't too shabby now is it.
Just wanted to clear up that Shane's playing cues currently are a Schon, and or a Diveny, which every he's comfortable using,
IMO, not only shouldn't he have tried to switch cues until the summer, he shouldn't have booked this challenge match sandwiched between two tournaments, and during a long stretch of pool, should have set it for a weekend nothing was going on, and prepared for it and had all his energy and attention souly on that. Pro boxers, prize fighters don't fight 10, 12 round fights in a weekend, they fight 12 rounders 2-3 times a year. Too much going on at one time. Just my opinion. Wait till the rematch.
