Allen Hopkins shatters his stick!

Yesterday in the first round, Allen Hopkins was playing way in the back of the room when BOOM, he bangs his stick on the ground, shaft first and it shattered, flying pieces all around the area. One good-sized chunk flew near Mike while he was playing Brian Groce, about 4 tables away!

Allen then went and sat in his chair and looked very angelic.

Thats exactly what I wondered. He loved that cue so dearly...I'm shocked!!! No replacing that...and man was that a expensive mistake. Allen is normally such a gentleman.

I heard he sold the Coster in the last year or so. He was playing with a very fancy Black Boar at a local Joss event last year.
