Almost Done - Gambler Cue

I can't wait to see the finished cue. Your detail work looks very good in the dice and cards.

Looks great
I would like to see one with kings and queens for the cards.

That will be my next one. I'm working on the drawings for the face cards, using different woods for the colors. Not sure if I'll ever get it done or not. Each card takes a lot of time at the computer.

Well, no pics today. I spent all afternoon doing two different sets of inlays for the points and I'm still not happy with the way they look. Rethinking the design a bit. Will try to finish it up in the morning.

Nothing new. I'm still stuck on the points. I think they are going to end up being the 4 suits in just plain Ivory. The trouble was that I wanted to keep the pieces roughly the same size they are in the cards, which meant I had to border the suits in only about .010" of Ivory and still have enough room to get a .010" cutter in the stems of the club and spade. In doing that, I don't think the black suits are going to show up very well in the black points.

Hey Tony,
PM sent...

Finally ...

Finally ready to spray. Will get the first coat tonight today.

Took some time to get the rings inlayed at the A Joint. Each position was re-indexed to make sure everything was perfectly aligned in the center of the points and between each point.

There is not a single drop of black or red epoxy in the cue. Everything you see is either Ebony, Ivory, Pink Ivory, Silver or the Colored Veneers.

This is the 77th cue I've finished. Good number considering the theme of the cue.

These will be the last photos I post of this cue.

Stunning, too bad we will not get to see the final product after the finish is applied. The inlay work on this cue is top notch, thanks for sharing.

I'm sure you'll see the pictures. I just won't be the one posting them. They will of course be on my website.
