Alton in Valley Forge...SUMMARY

Nearly $2200 pledged to help out this man come to the mainland. I have to say...this is honestly one of the most touching things I've bore witness to on this forum. I hope to have the opportunity to meet everyone on this list (and thensome) at Valley Forge in March. I also hope you'd all consider attnending dinner for a few hours at Sullivan's. :-) It'd be nice to hang out with such classy people away from the tables and the booths.

This is absolutely fantastic.......We booked Altons ticket last night, and paid for it. It was $988.76. It wasnt even noon today and we had more than that collected. YOU GUYS ARE ALL TERRIFIC

I left a phone message and emailed Allen Hopkins trying to see if he could just secure a room at the Raddison or Scanticon....we would pay for. I havent gotten any answer from him, If anyone knows him please try to get him to call or to commit.

We have plenty of time so I think we will be okay....and if not CYREX has generously offered to share his room with Alton.

I wish VF was tomorrow so that I could meet all of you fabulous people, and not have to wait.....oh well it will be here soon

Great gesture...

This is an amazing idea that has been proposed and implemented with astonishing speed and generous response by all who have pledged funds. I wish that I was in a better financial position at this time so I could also participate in contributing, but funds are low for me at this time. I hope to be able to get to Valley Forge in March, and would be honored to meet Alton and all AZB'rs who helped make this happen.

I have attended SBE many times since it's inception, even the first one in New Jersey, hope I can make this one too. I was able to be there in VF for almost the first five years in a row, and one of the best times was going out to supper after it closed Sunday to have dinner with about ten of the cue makers, GREAT TIME!

After supper all came back to the convention center and played pool in the practice room, when it was still upstairs. That was the first time I met Scott Smith, had no idea he was so funny or played as good as he does.

Hope I can make it this coming March, and kudos to all that are making Alton's first trip to SBE possible!!!!!

I would love to go out to dinner with everyone.. I have a booth at the Expo, and have to stay till the end.. Usually packed up by 9pm.. I know cueaddicts is in the same position..

I tend to eat late as well. Maybe on the last night (Saturday) we can go back to the same place as last year and drag Alton out again... He can always enjoy the conversation and have something to drink.

Yeah, he's pretty good about coming up with a room when needed. He usually has a big block of rooms reserved for all who will be working the Expo. Very generous of him to give one up!

Steve, can't say enough about all you are doing.. I know you got tons of things to watch in your busy day with your business..
Yet, you take the time out to take care of all the little details to make sure everything works out.. I know all these things take lots of time and effort..

And for all involved.. Money don't grow on tress.. Your gifts do mean a lot..
