Alton, it seems like every set of your caps that you make....keep just getting better and better. I love everyone that you have made me and cant wait for the few I have on order. You are truly an artist.

I dont know how anyone else feels....but I would like for all my caps that you still have and the ones you do for me in the future.....that you put a tiny logo, or name, or something on the main cap so its clear you did it forever.

Now alton....no neon lights or blinking logos.....LOL sed me what you have in mind.

Alton is a master with a passion for the creations that he allows all of us to hold.
I too think a marking of some type would be an added feature to the cue caps he creates and increase the recognition of the cue caps within all collections.
 
Alton, I agree. Maybe it's time for a small engraving that you could incorporate somehow. As cues exchange hands down the line, it would be nice for your work on the caps to continue to be recognized. You are a real artisan.

*Anything would probably a little tough to do on joint caps, though....there's not much real estate and you don't want to interfere with the design, especially if it's fancy.

Possible suggestion: maybe something like this ??

I hope to have an Alton Takata cue one day. Hopefully I will convince him to make me one someday.

Suggesting a logo from me is one of the most "Fattering" experience a craftsperson can have.. I am truely honored..:)

For the past few months, I have been trying to create more into my Caps. Stretching the use of what machines I have..
I have a feeling I am rising to my own level of incompetence.. :o
Trying to do things I am not capable of..Weather it be my skills and knowledge or the capabilities of the machines I have..
Good example of Myron's Cap that I just finished a few days ago..
Wait till you guys see Myron's Cap.. :grin-square:

All my cues are quite traditional so I have never been able to challenge you like Will, Eric and Steve have, ha, ha, ha! The caps you have made me have been very tasteful and suit the cues down to the ground.

If you are up for it, I have a fancy Szamboti that could do with the Takata treatment.......??????

Alton has made me a bunch of caps....and they just keep getting better and better....which is incredible because they are all so beautifull.

He is making me 3 more right now, and I am going to order another 4 next week.

I have to figure out how to get him from Hawaii to Valley Forge this year.....

I've seen caps that he has made for custom cues and they are terrific.

all we need is an escrow to put the money in and a good goal to meet for some first class tickets.

Alton's work is off the charts nice! I never get tired of looking at his caps, they are amazing! :cool:

Now I'm trying to figure out what to do on the design for the next set of caps for my new (to me) Gus Szamboti. :smile:


And I'm in on the "Get Alton to Valley Forge" fund. :D
