Another Suspect Auction on Ebay (Balabushka)

If you don,t know for sure it is usually a good idea not to create an air of mistrust and damage another mans reputation.

And just to set the record straight I don,t know any one involved.

When I buy these expensive cues I have them authenticated by Barry or the worlds best authority in Houston who own about a 100 Balabushkas
George made so many cues so many ways that it is hard to lay down any hard and fast rules,

But this is about damaging another mans reputation, and caution is advised

Here is its twin sister?

Dean, my addition to this posting was not ment to damage the seller or sell of the item. I just like to watch Bushka's when they come to market and thought it would also be of some interest to other?

Next time, I will start my own thread and thank you for the good advice on this.

This one was on ebay on Friday, ‎June ‎16, ‎2006, ‏‎10:57:15 PM. Sorry, I don't recall if it sold or not and if so for how much. :o

The seller had time to do his homework and add facts to the auction that would back up his claims as to previous ownership. This would have helped his auction be more successful than he could have imagined. He chose not to do this, leaving me to question why he would leave much more money on the table. As far as the authenticity,it certianly is a Balabushka, and having Denny G. take a look at it and say for sure would be a wise choice, and I know the seller is genuine,no hacked acount here. I like the red example much more than the twin pictured. I am also shocked that after getting over 20k in bids last time,it was not sold privately.

if the personyou referred to had authenticated the cue there would no room for doubt, but I am unaware that he does such things.

Less than 2 hours left. Will it go higher than 20k?

Things get burned out on eBay, I like to sell my stuff out the first time and move on to the next item.

I think it was you that said the seller's reserve was 23.5K?? That doesn't seem an unreasonable number. I contacted the seller after the last auction and his first communication was to educate me about the value the Mosconi family places on a Balabushka they own and I lost motivation. Maybe the buyers are afraid his reserve is higher than it is and don't want to waste the time and energy, or maybe the cue isn't worth 23.5K.
