I borrowed the 10 warning questions for alcohol addiction and substituted the words "pool" for alcohol.

What are ten warning signs of addiction to pool? Here are addiction signs listed (in no particular order):

1. Play pool alone.
2. Making excuses, finding excuses to play pool.
3. Daily or frequent pool playing, needed to function.
4. Inability to reduce or stop playing pool.
5. Violent episodes associated with playing pool.
6. Playing pool secretly.
7. Becoming angry when confronted about playing pool.
8. Think about playing pool when at work.
9. Problems with family and/or loved ones because of playing pool.
10. Trembling in the morning.

If you answer three or more, you are addicted to pool. :p

Now let me substitute the word "posting" for "pool." :o

1. Post on forums alone.
2. Making excuses, finding excuses to post on the forum.
3. Daily or frequent forum posting, needed to function.

With the username I have, I had to take the pool test. And yes, it was positive.

Fortunately, the posting test didn't show the same results.

You don't have any idea the sh!t i've done to catch time for pool. i have taken the wife to dinner and movie on friday just to stay out all day and night on saturday. I've helped do laundry and load the dishwasher. I've helped vacuum and mop floors. Why, I've even babysit my own kids!! Ha , Ha!! So, if doing all these crazy irrational things just to play pool is not a definition of a sickness I don't know what is. Hi, I am Gary and I'm a poolaholic!! There I said it are you happy now. Well, I've got to go now I just heard the washer kick off.

What are ten warning signs of addiction to pool? Here are addiction signs listed (in no particular order):

1. Play pool alone. All the time. Most people don't like me.
2. Making excuses, finding excuses to play pool. Always. Most people just don't get it.
3. Daily or frequent pool playing, needed to function. Almost daily. It probably would be daily but certain people in the local pool halls piss me off so I try to avoid them.
4. Inability to reduce or stop playing pool. Uh-huh.
5. Violent episodes associated with playing pool. Punch things, throw things, break things, etc. THough not so much anymore. But yeah!
6. Playing pool secretly. I lie to my girlfriend because when she finds out that I'm playing pool instead of spending time with her, she gets pissed!!!
7. Becoming angry when confronted about playing pool. See answer to number five. It applies here too.
8. Think about playing pool when at work. I'm at work now and I'm on AZ so, yeah.
9. Problems with family and/or loved ones because of playing pool. See answer to number seven.
10. Trembling in the morning. I'm epileptic so that kinda comes with the package anyway! :D

It's been 7 hours since my last session.....

I answered yes to all of the questions except it's been a while since I've had any outbursts....

I once went 5 years without playing but went back to it as all addicts do.....

Yeah... well, ANYONE could have answered yes to 3 of those... besides

I'M NOT AN ADDICT! I CAN QUIT ANYTIME I WANT TO!!!

Is that a Titlist that that dog is using as a chew toy?

Fortunately there is now an organization that can help all you pool lost souls. Just go here and buy the t-shirt. (It says "One shot at a time" around the edge of the rack.)

The first step is realizing that you have a problem. The second step is realizing that quitting is for losers.
