Hey guys, i am thinking of getting a tattoo and what better theme to have than my beloved game of 9 ball. I am looking for some cool images and was wondering if anyone has any suitable images for a tattoo or any websites with any images based on 9 ball.

I would be very grateful for your input, please post any pics you have.

Don't forget a tattoo is forever. I know they are all the rage now, but ...

Yes and 9-ball will soon be replaced by 10-ball!

Your from England don't you guys prefer snooker? I think you should get a bunch of big red dots tattooed all over your body!

Give it some thought.

I agree with this statement. The thing that really gets me is all of the celebrity women and other women for that matter that are so beautiful and then you see them all tatted up. I think it really makes a woman look cheap and trashy.
I know I am not in the younger generation so I like to think of myself as "older and wiser" but I would seriously reconsider getting a tattoo of any type if I were you.
If you think you can't live without one I would get it somewhere that is easily covered so as not to be seen in any type of job interview. Just my opinion.

You guys sound like my mother!!!

Just kidding, i was looking for something quite simple maybe on my shoulder so it can easily be covered up and is not visible when clothed.

I figure if i amgoing to get a tattoo it should be themed on something i love and will never go off.

We're probably all of English descent. lol.

Speaking of sons, if my son hadn't just barely lived through a burst appendix when I discover his, I would have torn his arm off. I still love him though, so I guess your mum will still love you post tattoo.

I have a few myself, nothing to be ashamed of and nothing wrong with them. But... be SURE, REALLY SURE that is what you want. Wait a year then and only then, get yourself one. Don't get any standard flash that everyone and thier uncle has. Sit down with the artist and talk with him/her about it. What your ideas are and what ideas they may have. have them draw it up WITH YOU THERE, that way you know they are who they say they are. Check out the shop and equipment. Do they have an autoclave (used for sterialization of equipment), a document from the Health Department, or whatever you call it over there, stating that they adhere to standards.
In other words, slow down stop and smell the roses. wait a while to see if the novelity of this idea wears off. If not then you have some research to do first and good luck.
my 2 pennies worth.

I had the measles once. It wasn't a look I wanted to keep for life.:D

I have 8 tattoos (none pool related) but as long as I'm wear a shirt, pants and shoes then you can't see my tattoos and the reason being is for job interviews! i've been looking for a pool image as well but it's hard to find.

probably be easier to have someone draw one up for you, if you know what you want it to look like.

I put together a tribal for my pool teams logo, you can use it if you like. Think it would make a good tat. I hand drew it and had a friend scan it... is my AV here too.

Thanks for the ideas, thats a really cool drawing.

I think that hand drawing something to my thoughts is a good idea then have somebody modify it.

I appreciate all your input and i do appreciate that it is a big decision and i wont jump in. I will carefully consider it and will only get it if the design is perfect for me.

My own opinion on tats is that it should be a piece of artwork.

Rather than picking out some flash from a book at the shoppe, use a hand drawn, inspired image.

I only have one tat, and a bad tat artist did it (went too deep and scarred). Even so, I still like it. It was hand drawn Arabic caligraphy that reminds me of my family.

Do what you want, but I'm guessing you are younger. It will be permanent.

Make it mean something.

This is the picture I gave the tattoo artist when I got my ink done... I would show the actual tat but it's in kind of a private spot (my booty) and I don't think that's allowed on the forum.

It's funny that you have started this thread. I've been looking a long time for a classic pin-up girl that is posing perfect for a pool scene (like holding a cue or sitting on a pool table). I ended up going with a classic pin-up on my arm without the pool scene, but If I ever find her, there is plenty of room on the rest of my body.:D

That brings up another question I have- why on earth do people get a tattoo and then put it where it can't be seen? Or worse yet, put it where thy can't see it, but everybody else has too?

Which brings up another point. If you put it where you can't see it if clothed, then by simple deduction, one can only see it when you are not clothed. Here's an eye opener for you- if you are in front of someone naked, and they are still there, you don't need the tattoo. The hard part is already accomplished. (although some might say it is just getting started)

Maybe you can get Efren to autograph it! (Please make sure you get a film clip when you ask him)

And Ernie is on the opposite cheek I suppose?

BTW, somethings I've always found to be a little cheesy for tattoos. When I was in the Air Force I always laughed at the few people I ever saw with AF tattoos. It works for the Marines & Sailors, but not Airmen. I kind of have the same feeling about pool, even though when I think about the idea of a tattoo something related to pool is all I can come up with. It's really the only thing, right now, that I could see myself doing for the rest of my life... so it would make sense but the idea just seems odd and a little corny.
