Does anyone have any information about a cue maker by the name of Chet Morris? Anything would be helpful and most appreciated.
Thanks in advanced

Thanks Todd and Chris,
I bought a Chet Morris cue on ebay awhile back and was wondering if it was worth having it refinished.

I'll bet that cue was made for Chet Morris, not by him. I have an Instroke case that I bought on ebay several years ago, supposedly from the estate of Chet (Chester) Morris, a deceased trick shot artist. I mentioned it some time later to John Barton, who remembered giving Chet this case and said he just used it to store cues in his closet. It was pristine. Neat cue!

The other name on the cue is a Stuart Kaufman. Does that name ring any bells.

That cue looks like it's from the 1960's. Too bad nobody can seem to get ahold of Dick Helmstetter. He would be a wealth of information because I understand him and Chet Morris were buddies.

I do think Chet made some cues because I have seen other references to him as a cue maker. This cue has the influence of a Doc Fry or Paradise (but it's not) those . The joint has a Viking influence - they sold parts to other cue makers, and Dick Helmsetter and Gordon Hart worked toigether.

I'll try to find more information and get back to you, but I think this cue is a cool find, if nothing else.
