Mine will be to attend more major events like maybe dcc and the US Open 9-ball, if there will be one of those.

And, of course, continue to work hard at getting my game better.

What pool-related resolutions are you planning to make?

best,
brian kc

Go the the BCA nationals in Vegas. Never been to Vegas and have never been to a large tournament where I can just immerse myself with pool. Looking forward to it.

Been thinking about making more of an effort to work on my game. I don't make resolutions, though. They break too easy:o

Mine is to actually play more than a few times this year. There is a new room opening in town in Feb and I am planning on trying to play at least once every week or two this year.

Nothing like staying in stroke........

Yeah, good luck with that, KC.
I sneer at people with 'wall-hangers'.....
...but I got a few that I won't part with.:embarrassed2:

I haven't been hitting much for quite a while....
...I've decided I'm gonna beat my high run at straight pool.

thanx for the push, Brian...but if I end up breaking an expensive cue
'cause I dogged it when I got close...
...I may sue you for compensation

Mine is to go back to National Singles for APA and get better than 10th like last year...

I have a few pool goals for the year instead of resolutions.

Cash at DCC (was 1 round away this year arg)
Win the $400 "Wednesday warmup" at SBE
Go deep in the Amatuer tourney at SBE

I am extremely focused and determined when I go to Planet Fitness for exercise and workouts. I have a routine and I rarely deviate.

My pool-related resolution is to select 2-3 new pool drills based on my objectives to master particular shots with which I struggle and approach those drills daily in the same manner I do my workouts.

I'm going to keep it simple. Better position play, and fewer sell outs.
Oh, yeah. Funnier stories. I've about beat the elephants with enemas thing to death.

Yep. Mine is to play pool a lot less and work out a lot more. I can't play in the Swanee due to a conflict so I'm laying down the cue and picking up the dumbells.

Play more.
Start drills again (haven't done that for 20 years).
Get a table (looking for a GC!).
Get my backlog of cues needing attention taken care of.
Get my first made-for-me custom cue.
Sell a few cues I don't want/need (working on the whole letting go issue here).

Yeah....I have some resolutions! LOL!

Oh yeah...and to just plain continue loving to hit balls.

My new year's resolution is the opposite -- "work" less, and play more. (Yes, I know you meant "work out" as in physical fitness, but I couldn't resist the play on words. ;) )

Seriously, last year, and years prior, were KILLER for me related to work taking over my life. This past year, I could only attend SBE -- and I really had to twist arms to the breaking point to get the time off to do so -- and only one regional event (one Joss tour stop) -- all year for 2012.

I'm going to change all that this coming year 2013, and I'm in the unique position of doing so.

My new year's resolution: more pool tourneys and events for me!

I'm with you on that. Whoever said the following was right too...

New Year Resolution

Well I found out I can play One Pocket pretty good and Im going to take some lessons from some players that are really good at it...already contacted them for help with my game.

Ive taken off a good deal of weight and then started weightlifting and now Ive gained some back.....so I am starting work on that in January.

I need to buy an Enclosed Trailer, I want to finish up on a small business plan. I want to practice some by myself instead of just play all the time, I want take a few playability tests and actually run a few drills that develop position getting skills.

I want to write more, read more and get ready to retire in 23 months but who is counting.......

Just another lovely day in paradise.......
