Anyone else hear that Thump?

I was surfing around the forum and I kept hearing this "THUMP".

Couldn't figure it out for the longest time.

It's the Seybert ad on top of the page.

Didn't we have another ad that made noises a while ago and there were so many complaints they changed the ad.

I gotta tell you that THUMP is really annoying...............

I just logged on, and was reading the title to this thread when I heard it. If it hadn't been such good timing, I'd have started going crazy trying to figure it out. And yes, it's very annoying, and should be changed.
 
I Dont get any noises from the pop-up ads! i refreshed the forums like 20 times or so, and not a single peep came out of my speakers!

I am not doubting that there isnt, maybe because i use Firefox for a browser!!!
 
i am using Firefox too - is there any other browser???? :D

there's still a thud sound on the seyberts ad! :P
 
nevermind! i take back what i said. I finally got the thud, and it scared the be-jesus out of me!!! i wasnt expecting it at all, had my speakers turned way up too


that's real annoying!!!!
 
That's what that is! I always have winamp running when im browsing and I thought it was some kind of corruption of my mp3's! I went so far as to play a certain song again when I heard the THUMP and listened for it in a certain part of the song. Must have had some great timing because it thumped in the same place. Made me think it was just in that certain song.
