Anyone else not getting inside pool magazine regularly ??

Just as the title stated, once again i dont get them regular again. This will be the last time i subscribe for the magazine again. When you call either they dont answer and you leave a message or if you do get lucky they say they are sorry and will get one out to you ASAP. Itired of hearing the ASAP. story. It's every couple months. Not to mention the fact that i ordered it again at BILLIARD EXPO in valley forge.and got a teeshirt, that shrunk so bad first wash ..and never got to wear it . But i even said to the guy at the booth about their delivery sucked and he said it's all different now that their circulation dept. is new . But it ended up not getting a magazine for months after that too, i had to call and call and tell them my situation 2 or 3 times , Then i seen a thread on here of the same situation. Anyhow the last one i got and the first since valley forge is the may/june issue. it that the last one that was out ? can someone let me know how may issues were made since may / june ? i called 3 times today cause i actually forgot about it , but just wanted to get a magazine ready for my doctors visit and realized i didnt get one again. is there any other good billiard magazines out that are delivered on a timely delivery ? or regular basis. the lady i talked to as i remember i think is Donna was very nice a appologized but it's getting rediculous . I just want what i pay for thats it, can someone please let me know if they are haveing the same problems,or what other magazines i should get in place of inside pool ? thanks alot <<< ED

this has to be the worst magazine subscription i have ever bought... NEVER on time.....the very first issue came to be a month late with the next month because i had to call for it 5 times....i hate getting it at the end of the month because of any local tournaments that are maybe not in the last month show up and its too late to make any plans to go.. worst magazine i ever got!.....i cancelled 2 months into my subscription
 
I have the same problem with Billiards Digest. I got a subscription in December of 08, and as of right now I have got three issues. I sent them multiple emails and have yet to receive a response.
 
I had the same problem with InsidePool.

I signed up at DCC in Jan, then got March and April as planned. Nothing in May or June, then after a thread on here I got reminded of my subscription.

Sent them an email, heard nothing.

A friend of mine went to the trouble of contacting them, and I got the issue for July/August.

No matter what issues I receive the rest of the year, I guess I have already made up my mind, and I will not subscribe for more years. For me, it isn't worth $ 36 a year (international)
 
Inside Pool has a forum - post this over there. It will about just as much good as posting it here. Their business practices are atrocious. Always have been. Wny anyone would be involved with IP in any aspect on either side of the fence is beyond me :eek:
 
Getting the Magazine was a hit, maybe, miss situation from my expernce when I subscribed, so I don't subscribe.
 
Yea, i remember the thread a couple months ago also . I called them back then and the lady assured me i would get them on time now . I will never renew my subscription with the ever again, i just want what i paid for thats it .
 
I've been having the same problem. This is my last subscription with them.
 
I have been reading threads like this for 5 years, at least!

Nobody should be surprised if there are problems.

It pays to be an informed consumer.

I have not spoken to anyone from InsidePOOL in several years, but I do know that they have 10 issues per year -- not 12. So, if you are expecting one during the two-month gap, which I think, if memory serves me, is in the summer, that could be one thing to think about. :)

I like InsidePOOL magazine.
 
I signed up for a long term commitment a few years back and was getting them reguarly until this year. I haven't gotten an issue since May/June and I had to call for that one. I have called several times in the last week and not gotten an answer or a return call yet.

I like the magazine, just not real happy with the service I have received lately.

On their website it says 10 magazines, one for May/June and one for July/August, so it should start with a monthly issue from September again.

I also like InsidePool, I just don't like their customer-service :)
 
I guess I'm one of the fortunate ones. Years ago, I signed up for a subscription and got my first issues within 6-8 weeks. Then I renewed it with Timberly at the IP booth at DCC. Then a year after that, a lady from IP calls me on the phone asking if I want to renew it again. I say yes, and I'm still getting the issues without problems.

I don't know why others have had so much trouble getting their issues.
 
I'm in the same boat .
Mine is late every month.By the time I get it its too late to attend half tourneys listed,or see the pool on tv.I done with'em.
 
Just an update, I called again today and got an answer, but the lady who handles the subscriptions normally is out. I missed the July/August issue and did not receive the September. They are going to check on getting both sent out again tomorrow and are supposed to give me a call to confirm once it has been reviewed.
 
I liked IP also after switching from BD. The first three months where alright(started in Nov.) after that, never on time. The last copy I have is May/June with Schmidt on the cover. I have been going to Books-a-million to get BD again to to have something to read. My subscribtion ends in Nov. and I'm done. I got so used to them not showing up in the mail, when one would so up I had forgotten that I had a subscription in the first place,lol. Ron
