I must tell you that if you fly your self on down to FL. I bet you can get laid up really quick. I have personally seen Louis Viera Run some nasty racks one handed. That is one gamble you dont want sir. Just look for the cross-eyes mexican that looks like he should be pin-striping a Mercedes instead of driving one.
Little Miami
That was Isaac "Miami" Gonzales. Artie only played the top one handed players Eight Ball. He was undefeated.

Different Puerto Rican
Antonio (Aguzatate) Montalvo and "Little Miami" were two different players. Both played phenomenal 1handed pool. Miami personally told me he thought he could beat anybody alive playing 9 ball or rotation EXCEPT Aguzatate. There was another great Puerto Rican 1 handed player whom I did not know, but only heard of. His name was Chico from Puerto Rico. He was in Miami when I was there in the 60s but I never met him. He was rated as the best bumper pool player in the world. Anybody know anything about him?

Maybe it was Cannella
Most 1handed players were specialists. Ronnie played 1handed 1 pocket as good as anybody. They say Eddie Taylor was the best at 1handed banks. Artie never lost playing 1handed 8ball. Miami and Aguzatate were probably the best at 9 ball, rotation and straight pool. But they were Puerto Rican, not Mexican. The only Mexicans I can think of back then who could possibly qualify was Cannella and Sergio. I dont know if Cannella played 1handed or not, but he beat Sigel playing 9ball in Tx in the 70s. Sergio, who is still around, was supposed to be a terrific 1 hnded player in those days, so maybe that is who he is talking about, although Artie also drubbed him playing 1hnded 8 ball.

John, you are correct it was Little Sergio. He was called that because there was also another SergioThat played real good but not one handed. I saw Little Sergio beat Efren one handed for large cash in the 80's. They played nine ball. Races to 11.jrhendy said:
