I have a friend who builds a few cues here and there for local players and he has been trying to order radial pins for some time now without much luck. Well, at least he hasn't had much luck ordering them from the person who he normally gets tham from at $8.00 each. Obviously he could order them from Atlas at $13.00 each or Unique at $10.00 each but I think getting them at a discounted rate would make him and a lot of other cuemakers very happy.
Which leads me to why I'm posting.....
I found a local machine shop that can make them cheaper and have the same specs as what you would receive if you purchased them from the afore mentioned sources. They would be made out of 303 stainless and would be 3/8 x 8 and use the current available taps. The only problem is to get this deal I would have to order them in bulk. So I would need to fill an order of 2000 pins to get started so I thought I would see if the cuemakers on the board would be interested in getting in on the deal. I figured at $5.00 each they are cheaper than anywhere else and it would give you guys a chance to save some money.
Let me know if you're interested and if there is enough interest we can try and put together an order. If we can get the initial order together we will be able to order smaller quantities in the future and keep the price the same.
Here is what they would look like.....
