Anyone know who this is?

Confidence

He had a very confident stroke. Don't have a clue as to who he is. Thanks for the video.

Landon is now 13...that video was made when he was 8! He plays MUCH better now, and holds his own, against pro players, in almost any tournament he plays in. I watched him play Buddy Hall at the DCC a couple years ago, and he came close to winning! :D He has beaten several top players on occassion.

He really has beaten some top pros in a serious game at age 13? I assume it was not a race though?

The 8 year old on the video in the 1st post is not Landon. I am not sure who the young player is but he is very impressive. Stan

Sorry Stan...I couldn't get the video to 'upload', so I didn't get to see it, and took another poster's word on it. :o Everything else I said about Landon is certainly true, though! :D

Whoever he is, the kid may or may not be able to play pool very well........but none of us will ever know just from this trick shots video alone. All the shots bar one, whilst great, are of course at least 90% dependent on the set up and 10% on the execution. We don't even know if he did the set ups himself and we don't know how many attempts were made before the final cut tape was produced.

With these balls properly set up by somebody competent would expect that you could take just about any coordinated 8 year old kid selected at random and have him trying to execute these shots within 24 hrs of picking up a cue. Assuming he'd have lots of attempts at each it woudn't be hard to duplicate this compilation.

Sounds a bit grumpy I know, but scepticism is not unusual. Nice to see any kid taking up the game and apparently real keen on it though. Good luck to him.

he has a great stroke considering an 8 years old kid. if his parents are AZ Members or any AZ Member know that kid's parents. please let him practice and in future he might become a champion ;)

I saw this young boy at the Trumps Marina 10-Ball Challenge in Atlantic City with his dad doing an exhibition for all to see in the front lobby of the casino. I think he was from New Jersey.

On this link, they call him "Little Sharkie." I just cannot remember his name, but he did a lot of trick shots.

Here is the picture of Little Sharkie with his dad: http://www.azbilliards.com/gallery/showpicture.cfm?eventnum=28&photographernum=1&picnum=1385

This could be him, but I am not sure. Since the video is a trick shot video, that is what reminded me of Little Sharkie.

That's exactly the sort of further info which was in mind when saying we'd never know from this video alone. Thanks.

I am not sure I understand your reply to my post!

You're welcome.

The kid in the video is not Little Sharky. Almost sure! I have seen him and have watched him play. Stan

Thanks, Stan. I kind of figured somebody on this forum would know who Little Sharky was and if, in fact, that was him in the video clip above. :)

Hope all is well with you and yours!

BTW, have you posted your picture yet in GirlWon1's thread?

It is interesting when putting a face to a forum name sometimes. I would very much like to see what you look like, after reading so many of your posts in the past years.
