Gee...another APA basher. What a surprise. Probably a 7 who wanted to be ranked a 3. The APA is great for what it is. If you don't like it, don't play in it.

if you think a guy is doing shady dealings, come right out and say exactly what you know or heard.

My questions are not designed to change your thoughts on this subject, but your post is a little confusing, I mean something had to make you believe what you have posted above and it would help to understand things if you would explain why you made these comments.

He doesn't owe anyone an explanation unless someone really cares about his experience that caused his opinion and would like to know more. You bashers don't. If you don't like his opinion don't play in it. Lee has one thing correct, STAY AWAY FROM THE APA.

poke&hope...Don't put words in my mouth. I said if you don't like it, don't play. I encourage all players to try out the APA. Some will like it, some won't...just like most things in life. The OP offered nothing to support his/her accusations. Consequently he/she was called out for it. If you're going to make accusations, you'd better be ready to back it up with evidence.

(Since I want to be involved with pool, and I enjoy my APA leagues, maybe I'm just missing something. I kinda think that I'm not, but let's play nice and indulge our brand new guest.)
Maybe there is truth to the reason APA gets BASHED so much.
The APA gets bashed because there are people that have a less-than-favorable experience with it.
I play in it. I've seen sand-bagging, cheating, fighting, and teams that would try to win before the match even started calling the LO about everything from dues owed to 'this person's name is not spelled the same as on the sheet so we cant let them shoot because it might be a different person'.
I've also shot against some decent players that made it interesting, wowed the bar crowd with a table-length draw (I know.), and been there on the edge of the chair when the match is tied 2-2 and watched our valiant SL3 shit in their last ball.
If you like it or hate it, its all what you put into and take out of it.

Im not an apa basher, an I can only tell you what ive experienced.
Excessivly long legue nights, uneven handicap, and poor payout for everyone in 2nd place down. The only one making out is the operator.
Ill stick with Valley, that is operated by the table vending compy, they pay out 100%
Our ApA guy lasted 2 years and was out.then comes to valley night and tells us we should have supported him, (and his wife and kids) and we could have been in Vagas and the usual propaganda.
