Just a reminder...

Johnny Archer is playing Jayson Shaw at Sandcastles tonight. Accu-Stats PPV is $10. They're warming up right now. Game is 10-Ball on the Diamond 10' table. Mandatory pushout after the break.

BTW the stream is awesome looking! Join in the fun. ;)

I wanted to watch but didnt like the thought of mandatory push after every break.

I like seeing break and runs and packages put together in rotation pool.

So I didnt buy the stream, maybe next time.

I should have done the same. Watching this is it is some of the most ridiculous rules I've ever seen. Think I'll give it about another two racks.

Thanks for the reminder. I'm watching. I wanted to see what this push out business is all about.

The format is interesting, you get to see some moving and safeties. I know some will like it and others will hate it, just like most every format whether its alternating break, rack your own or slop.

I'm still having a bit of a hard time with the rules, but I like what I see for the most part. 30-second shot clock really adds some excitement, but it def favors Shaw.

I'm enjoying it thus far. The push rules I like also. But favorite by far is 30 sec shot clock, with no extension. This is how pool should be played on any streamed rotation game.

For anyone who, like me, wasn't clear on the rules:

After the break:
If you make a ball, you choose whether you or your opponent rolls out.
If you break dry, your opponent rolls out.
If you scratch/foul, it's BIH behind the line for your opponent. I'm not 100% sure that this last one is correct.

Apparently, if you have the choice, it's common to make your opponent roll out so you get to decide who starts shooting.

I'm enjoying the match. I wasn't sure if I'd like the mandatory rollout or not. Heck I'm still not sure. But I do like the 30-second shot clock.

I like the "battle for the first shot" scenarios

Awesome match IMHO. Best ten bucks I've spent in a while.

So you liked the "roll out" after the break? You should see a lot more strategy, I've never played like that, just "Two Shot Roll Out" which I strongly recommend over one foul to see the hidden intricacies of the game of 9/10Ball.

I understand liking to see the "packages," it's just not that impressive to me, I like the "battle for the first shot" scenarios much better. imho

I wasn't sure if I'd like the rules of the match, but it really was good pool to watch. I can see right now that the best pocketing balls doesn't have to win these matches. A lot of these games will be won by good safes and kicks. With no jump cues it makes even better. It brought back memories of 2 foul push for me. The one thing I'd change is the 30 sec clock to 40 sec or 1 extention a game. Johnnyt
