Are OB Cues & Shafts Taking Over The World?

They're certainly popular, and for good reason. They are made in the US and cheaper than Predator. They are also readily available from multiple sources quickly. Finally they just perform well.

I love my Jacoby Hybrid Edge and think it's an equally well performing shaft but they're not nearly as easy to find in stock and ordering one can take a little bit. I got lucky and mine was in stock when I was looking for one, otherwise I likely would have ended up at OB.

I have yet to see one "in the wild". Admittedly I don't have a giant swath of exposure to pool players, but I always look at equipment at the several establishments I go to. Would love to try one out with all the noise I hear about them here.

Best of all , I like Royce and his crew.
They are GREAT...
The shaft works well also ...

They are innovators and their shaft selection offers options to cover most players... Add to that they have a reputation of going 110% on customer service and standing behind their products and you have a real winner....

I picked up a classic+ pro+ and OB2+ at the expo and WOW... I am now torn because they all play well and now it's up to me to find the one that fits my imagination the best... Right now I am stuck between the ob2+ with a hard Ki-Tech and the Classic+ with a medium Ki-Tech... They both are jam up....

great product. I mean, folks have a choice between maple or LD. But now the LD folks have a choice to which LD they want because this market is gonna keep growing.

I'll stick with OB. They've proved themselves as the real deal.

Really like the +1 shaft on my Schon, see they have a nice wrapless that looks great, just don't really don't need another cue at this time.

I do. I wish OB made a Hoppe style cue. I'd love an OB Hoppe to go with my real Hoppe (that was fitted with OB shaft)

Oh well, I will just buy a Schmelke Hoppe and throw on an OB shaft. I'll be out the door for around $5 hundo.

Royce, can you build me a Hoppe ;) 4 points with veneers, hoppe ring, 3/8-10 pin, and white/green Irish linen wrap. (I know they have leather, but I want a Hoppe to play with in the summer months) with OB Pro Shaft, of course ;)

Thank you for the feedback gang. I've never seen one cue grab the entire industry's attention (and seemingly loyalty as well) like this. I figured (and was hoping) it just couldn't be marketing, but I wanted to throw it out there first.

I see an OB Cue in my future, but of course I want to test drive one first. I know this is the Pool equivalent of blasphemy, but I can't stand the way Schons hit...and I've tried out quite a few. No debating how beautiful they are, but for some reason, I just don't like the way a hit on the ball feels when I'm doing so with a Schon. Believe me, I wish this wasn't the case because there are several Schons I would love to own and shoot with.

I'm looking forward to a test-driving an OB soon :)

I got my classic + about 4 months ago and really like the "crisp" hit and would go back to the predator 316-2 I have.

I have an OB1 with ZERO complaints. The customer service is definately 110%. We were so happy with OB, when my wife was looking to get a LD shaft. She didn't consider any other company other than OB.

Product/Performance/Price/Customer service- 2nd to none!

They're good cues.

I have an OB Classic Pro shaft, which I like, but I prefer the Z2 on my Predator.

I just picked up an OB Rift break cue and it is ridiculously good. Before that I was breaking with a Poison jump/break, but had hit with BK2s and Mezz break cues; the OB Rift beats them all, IMO. The only break cue I've hit with that compares is the first OB break cue.

They seem a good company. I'm glad they're doing well.

Great service. I inquired about having the OB Pro Plus made with a pro taper instead of a conical taper and they were willing to do it. But I settled with the OB Pro Plus with a conical taper because I had Seybert's turned it down to 11.3mm. A pro taper at 11.3mm would be too whippy. I interchange this shaft with my predator Z2 Tuned shaft.

I played with one for a while years ago but the shaft felt strange like the wood was too grainy or something. It bothered me. I've heard they're much better now but just haven't got around to giving them a fair shake.
