Well, I hope it's not a demographic thing. It's more like a common courtesy thing, not to mention how much better other alternatives are for them. It's easy enough for a player to make sure they have a supply of meal supplements just that one day or weekend. It's not like it's going to kill a player to do without a cheeseburger for the day. In fact, they may actually feel better.
I think the real issue is in educating the players as to what the better options are. They may even actually learn to like eating healthy snacks throughout the day.
Yeah, it just ain't that way out west, and I've seen it in various matches. Yrs ago at the McDermott Masters in Vegas my match got called, my opponent didn't show, and they rescheduled it for a later time, because of who my opponent was. Once had a ref call bad hit on me in Bar Table events when there was NO infraction, the ref was in with my opponent and I had the match won, but the ref did what he was told. $5K first place Thirty yrs ago.
