Mark, why call me out?
you're acting like I am running around the board posting about BB like the world is going to end, like Jam does?
Honestly if I were you I would just ride the storm out and leave the BB alone. It would serve you better than to let guys like me read between the lines of your posts.
Primo,
There is no 'reading between the lines' in my post.
I have said - about 100 times - that I want what is good for pool.
There is no storm for me to ride out - I have also said that we are not changing a thing in our events. We will have our 3 US Open events and we will pay out everything we said we would.
That being said - things culd have been so much better for the pool world (which includes the players) if Bonus Ball would have used a little bit of common business sense and courtesy when making their schedule.
It was not necessary to plop down on top of established events. They act like they don't care - and that is BAD for the pool industry. If they are successful, that might work out for a few - if they are not successful, that might not work out for many.
What I am saying - this was not necessary.
And that is not said out of desperation - it is said out of concern for the players and others in the industry. Remember - we are primarily an amateur organization. I am involved in Diamojnd, TAR and other professional leaning things because I love the game and love showing all the amateurs how the game should be played.
This situation is on their shoulders - not mine. And I dont understand why this obsevation (the scheduling) sounds like hate or wishing BB to fail. All I want is for what is best fro pool - I do not think the way this came down was the best path to take.
Now - you can take that for what you want. I am a pretty straight forward guy. I am very accessible and will explain my thoughts. They are not founded on fear or jealousy. They are founded on fear of the future of pool - because I love this game.
I do not feel others are quite so transparent.
All of the bickering has done is drive wedges and hard feelings between an already fractured industry.
