I just got off the phone with dan in olathe, he owns shooters, he said that if the set is 15 ahead, dave getting the 8 ball, the bet will be 10k! im thinking that they will re-load if they lose! and dan said that if by chance you need help getting there, they will send a limo! so i think they are willing to play for the 10k your looking for! lets see if you can get to olathe! i think that is there way of saying the BALL IS IN YOUR COURT!:cool:

Corey is a good friend, we've played golf a few times and he always calls when he's going to be near here so I definitely want him to win. But, why all the hostility over driving? Why not just fly? It seems you have a couple of offers now so lets get it on. If it goes down, I might fly out and bet on the side and get some golf action. Make it happen cap'n.

Corvette has a point... If you guys are willing to bet 30K, it seems somewhat unbelievable that you aren't willing to fly, and use a rental car? I mean a 12 hour drive is what, maybe a 2-3 hour flight? And you're not dead tired when you get there.

I'm calling shenanigans here.. It doesn't sound like they really want the action.

If I had a chance to win 30K tax free, I would drive to LA from NY. That is like more than a lot of people make in a year working 40+ a week and driving 30 minutes or more to and from which is an hour a day, 5 hours a week, 260 hours a year! If I could make that much in a night or two I would not think about a 12 hour drive. Especially if it were doing something I love to do. I know I have driven 12 hours to play in a golf tournament that didn't payout anywhere close to that.
It just doesn't make since.

i beleive the date is july 20th! and from what im hearing there is alot of interest in this tourny! sounds like a road trip!:D

YOU REALY DONT WANT THE GAME, but I cant blame you, giving Dave Matlock the 8 on the beer box--in Olathe-- you would have to be out of your mind.......Have a GREAT day and good luck trying to LOCK something up......

Another reasonable alternative might be that if Cory loses, the winner will pay for the round trip air tickets for two people at X amount of dollars.

What's wrong with that?
