I made my post and have been busy here in NY so have not had a ton of time to be online to check back.I am glad its getting heated up in here and people are doing some trash talking,I hope it stirs up action,that is what its about anyway.I hope you guys make games with one another and matchup for the cash,its only going to make your games stronger.
As for me and my game,well I feel most days I am a solid 8 and sometimes I do play 9 speed,have had some sets where I played like a 10,most people can have this happen at our ability level.I planned on becoming a 9 this year,I know what I need to work on and will get it there,the raise was premature and most people have complimented me on my game and said I will play into it anyway and get better.
I love the game plain and simple regardless of all the rating BS,the rating system can be fixed as I said but you need to really dial people in and meeting up every 4 months does not cut it,you guys need to meet up monthly to make it work.I said I was a better player then my buddy who is a 9,all around I am and he will agree with that,he is only a 9 because his 9 ball game is at that speed,I am the favorite in the other games and have a chance to win playing the 9 ball also,its 9 ball and if someone is a ball better or ball worse they can still win a set.
I have played a bunch of you on here and you know how I play,I would say I take the cash 90% of the time,sometimes I am stealing and other times I think I catch people on a bad day.I have respect for all of you guys that I played and enjoyed playing you,I really had alot of people I wanted to play for the title which is a fun thing to me but now I cant which bums me out alittle bit.
I dont care about what people really say about me and comments about how they will gamble with me and whatever,I am always at Kolbys,you can get played most of the time depending on how my pockets are.If I know you then most likely I know where we stand in most games,I might see a guy and know I can beat him in 8 ball and it might be a toss up in 9 ball or straights,one pocket I might have an edge,then I pick and choose my games wisely.I know some players can beat me in 9 ball but that does not make them an better all around player then me,9 ball is the most luckiest so a set can go either way at times depending on the time of day.I see some players think they played better because they won but its not always the case,I have counted balls I made in 9 ball sets and my opponents made and sometimes its when and how you miss.Play a set and count all the balls you made and that your opponents made,mark down when someone missed a shot and keep track,you will see where I am coming from then.
If anyone on here has taken my cash who post on this forum then let it be known,I dont know anyone besides Lou who doesnt live in AZ,we played some cheap one pocket and he beat me.I knew he would but gave him some gas money anyway since I love one pocket and its the right thing to do when someone comes to town,give alittle action.
I know Jude barks alot and like that he gambles,but its not a big deal when you got the cash like that,whats $500 when you got a ton of cash?,to a regular guy it is alot of pressure.I might not be a great player but I am better then most at matching up and know when I got the nuts and when I am in a bad game,I am smarter then most and underrate my game so I dont get in a bad game.I will tell you this if I had alot of money I would bust alot of guys because I know what I need to win,I know alot of moves.Jude highrolls and that is great,it takes people out of there element but its not about who plays better,its who gambles better,Jude "might" do that better then most.Jude is 0 for 3 gambling with me playing pool,1 for 8 in coinflips.Okay enough of being a braggart,haha.
I respect all of you guys who I have played with and know you guys can beat me on your day,alot of us play pretty even in 9 ball and others play much better in other games.I would say the best test of who the better player is should be one on one all around challenge matches like we had been doing.I think showing your talent in your best game while your opponent shows their talent in their respective discipline,if you lose in the one you picked your most likely screwed.
I would like to see Brady vs Justin,Ken Vs Jude,Tim vs Carlos and Mike vs Justin,the winners go on and then we can have a King of the 8s since I no longer have the title.Okay well I am done writing my book. :smile:
