Guys...if you want to be able to recieve the cues, I need a scanned copy of your DL. I will be the only on that has this scan. If you do not provide a copy of your DL you will not be able to recieve the cues. We have to do this to protect us recieving the cues, and the cue builders for donating the cues......Hope you all understand

Send me your email.....I will send it now

I am waiting on Groundhogg to respond....

Groundhogg, has not responded to my emails about needing a copy of his DL. So Vegasplayer is next on the list, then Befica, then Safety.

Vegasplayer and Safety, I need a copy of your Drivers License so you can recieve the cues.

If we dont get a DL from you guys you will be passed over and they will go to the next person in line that provides the copy of the DL

It might be overkill, but you might also consider having each person paypal you 5 cents or something so you have verification of their name and a verified email address in addition to the copy of the driver's license. It's just too easy to get a copy of a random person's drivers license.

Thanks for the info...everyone on the list has been verified by a reputable person here on AZ that actually knows them....we are just taking the extra steps to protect AZ and the Builders that donated the cues by having a copy of the DL

Hope everyone understands

My evaluation of the cues

Cue #1

Cue looks good, it is plain and simple

The leather wrap is finished nicely, the seam is almost unnoticable

Cue hits good, has a nice hit to it

My confidence is high with this cue

I personally did not like the way the wrap felt in my hand, it felt cheap

Overall the cue is a really nice player, I rate this cue an 8

I like the way you have evaluated each of the cues in this manner.
I asked before but maybe it went unnoticed.
Should there not be a standard way to rate the cues?

I mention this because, and especially after, reading all the different reviews; they are so "all over the map" that it is kind of hard to get a real picture of a true rating for each one.

Probably a little late now, but just a thought. :)

Also, I don't believe a rating on the way the cue looks overall is quite
acceptable as obviously some of the builders did not follow the protocol of
No Rings, Moderately figured wood, etc. I don't believe many of the builders would have sent out such a plain looking cue if given the choice. I believe the plainest cues are being judged at a disadvantage due to following instructions,
which to me is important, when having a cue built!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I kind of pictured them all looking very similar.

.

<Still looking forward to testing each...soon now!>

.
P.S. Why is the Sneaky getting so much publicity? LOL I'll bet some of the builders wish they could switch places with him!

I have the same questions and would like to see the answer. Bob

Well, the sneaky isnt really getting that much attention...if you notice everyone that evaluated the cues before be didnt even rate it.....they didnt even play with it to be honest...I thin I am the only one kthat has rated it. And, the sneaky cannot, and should not be evaluated in the same category as the 6 cues for the buildoff...its a totally diff cue....kinda like evaluating a pinto against a camaro....

And there will be a set format to rate the cues.....ugotactionTX has that format....when I got the cues...I just pretty much didnt have the paperwork because I had taken off work and didnt go back to work till after I had rated the cues..the form was on my work computer

And as for the cues looking different....all the cuemakers had the same info to go by....and the cues you see is what they sent. The cuemakers that followed the format will be known in the end....the ones that didnt will as well. Also, the cuemakers that actually MET the deadline will be known....and the ones that dragged thier feet will also be known...so all in all, I think it will be a positive experience for us.

And yes, I thought to myself that they would all look similar.....SUPRISE:rolleyes:

This is basically a starting point...We have learned alot on what to do and what not to do on the next one...This was for fun, hopefully this will shine on the cuemakers that participated in a positive light.

Thanks!

Ftgokie-

Thanks for your reply. :)

I, too think it will be very positive experience for the builders and great source of info for me personally.

I have been researching my next custom cue from a few builders here on AZ and have gone back and forth, with my decision, due to things I have read and situatuions that have come up. I, like you, am hoping to get some valuable info out of this and can not wait until the end when all is revealed...though the middle part is good too..LOL

Mybe my chosen builders are in it, maybe not. But I will have a better means of decision after getting to hit with all of them..Whoopee!
