Good one!

I got gunzby and Bamacues on either side of me. They haven't confirmed yet, but if they do, I'd be willing to do a small road trip to meet a fellow AZ'er, shoot some pool somewhere possibly, and offset the cost of shipping. Plus insurance or not, I would feel a hell of a lot better handing them off to the next person, than putting my and all of our faith in the postal system!!

I totally agree....thats why I drove down to hand them to John, I wanted to meet a fellow AZ'er. I always enjoy meeting new people...I dont mind spending the money, I just felt it was better to just meet him....John is a great guy and glad I did!

ahhhhh shucks... you guys are swell. :D

I'm not sure how I'd explain to my wife that I need to drive to Newman, CA from Dallas, TX to deliver some cues... Maybe I should have tried, would have been one helluva trip!

Hey John, We need your evals on the cues. Either post them on here, or email them to me and I will post them for you. I think I will ask the Mods if we can have a sticky till this is over.

send it to

ftgokie@yahoo.com

or my work email here at the VA( you should have it) if not, pm me and I will send it to you

BENFICA.....send us some feedback on the cues when you can, and have fun at the West Coast Cue Show this weekend!!!!!!!

Thanks
Shawn

I have about 8-10 reviews using the form that you sent me. I am forwarding the XLS to Tony right now so he can use the same format we used. They seemed to work pretty well. The reviews are at the house so I'll scan them this evening and email them to you... okalee dokalee?

BTW the cues appear to be "out for delivery" so that's good news. at least they made it to CA from TX. Now as long as Tony doesn't jet back to Portugal with them, I think we're safe :D

Your pushing it with the okalee dokalee thing there bub

Dont make me come down there and break open a can of whoop ass:grin:

BTW... looks like everything was shipped and arrived successfully. whew... now I can breath again :D

I got them John. I had a chance to play with them and I can almost guarantee you that there is a CAM cue, Sugartree, Gracio, Jim Lee... Not sure about the rest but one of the feels like a Jack Madden but I am not sure. The Sugartree, Gracio and Jim Lee are really nice players. I did not care for the G10 coco sneaky. I know it is a cue build off but the blank was like beyond "el cheapo", did not like that one at all.
I will have more detail review after the Cue Show. Did the cue makers used the same tip?

OK this is going on awhile and I like the idea and the process, when are we going to get the final tally and how are you rating them, are you going to be brutely honest?

I had Doug Patrick put on Triangle tips, the Molavia tips were tried out by 4-5 people and nobody liked them, so we chose to go with the Triangle

As far as the Names of the makers :groucho:....man....thats a really good try:grin:

If I could be taken off the list, that'd be great.

I got some family problems going on and don't see pool taking up much of my time in the near future.

I'm probably gonna take a 1 year break from it while I get my act together.

The good news is, someone who really wanted to be on the list after it was filled now can. :D

Sorry to hear about the problems jcommie, hope everything works out whatever it may be, and thank you for letting us know to take you off the list......

Hi Guys,

I thought the point of this was to test the cues with a consistent layered tip? I believe the Molavia would have been a lot more consistent than a one piece triangle tip. I would have liked that the Molavia tips be tried by other to get proper feedback on them....like them or not..if all the cues has the same tip...you should have a good idea of how each of them performed. With the Triangle...it's miss and hit. Out of a box of 50...you have variances in hardness. Ideally, they should also be pressed for consistency. I also think that each cue builders can also be judged by how they put on their tip....so if the original tip was removed that may have an impact on playability.

Just out of curiosity...what did they not like about the Molavia? Any feedback would be really appreciated as we are constantly looking for ways to improved them.

Thanks,
Duc.
