> My cue is a one-off 1991 Runde Schon, according to Bob one of the first with the panto-style points. If you're familiar with the R-16,this was said to be the only 4 point R-16 ever made. I'm currently using one of the 2 original shafts, with the original ivory ferrule. At the moment,it has a medium Moori, which plays ok but much softer than I usually prefer. The diameter is right at 12.65,so in 16 years of play and maintenance,I've lost just under 1mm in diameter from the original 13.5. Weight wise it's around 19oz. Since then, the taper has evolved to where it feels the same to me as a brand-new unsanded Predator. My break cue is an early Joss sneaky, cocobolo with points made of some dark gray wood, but from 3 feet away it looks like ebony. It has a brown phenolic butt cap, weight is 19.75-20oz range, but feels much lighter, and is nice and thin where I grip it for breaking. My jump cue is a Bill McDaniel butt made to look like the front end of a Schon STL-1,and fits Schon shafts. The shaft I use with it is the other of my original 2,with a Micarta ferrule and Future synthetic tip. These are the same cues I literally tried to run into a burning house after. Tommy D.
