Just food for thought...but before anyone puts too much into what everyone else plays with...
I remember reading a long list of every cue that each IPT player was using. Interesting indeed but consider this for a moment. Its common knowledge that Dennis Searing makes one of the finest hitting cues in cue history...maybe even the best of all time. His cues playability is second to none. I don't believe I remember seeing one single player listing a Searing. So what I'm trying to say is, its impossible to look over a list of cues and find that magical weapon. You'd be much better served in actually learning what characteristics work best for you as an individual in a cue. Some like soft hitting...I do. Some like stiff shafts, others like thinner whippy shafts. Just figure out what works for you...then any number of cuemakers can tailor a cue that plays well for you. Believe it or not but one of my favorite hitting cues is a Meucci sneaky-pete with a red dot shaft, with an upgrade to a quality ferrule and Sniper tip of course. Before I was a cuemaker I went through way too many cues, and countless bankrolls...going from one SW to another SW to Wes Hunter, Bobby Hunter, Capone, Gilbert, Harris, Samsara, Midwest, Scruggs, Gold, Omen, Bludworth, Schon, Josey, Dishaw and many more. What I didn't realize at the time was that I personally prefered, and played my best with a flat face big pin cue with a thinner shaft and softer ferrule & tip. What I'd give, to know then what I know now. I would of saved enough to buy a new speed boat. Honestly...I now play with one of my old beat up sneakies with no wrap, and a 314 with a Grice ferrule & Sniper tip...and I've never hit one single shot & wished I had any of those old cues back.;)

Mine

I have been playing with a Kersenbrock since '77. It has 4 original shafts and I use different shafts for different games. I also play on occasion with my other Kersenbrock and two old SW's.
Pre-Kersenbrock...Martin and Tad.

Predator 99-5 with original shaft and built in cue extension from Kevin DeRoo and Soft Talisman.
Predator BK with a hard Talisman.

Whats In The Bag

-Jacoby (kinda fancy) sneaky pete with triangle tip & stainless joint (love it)
-J&J jump/break with phenolic tip (surprisingly breaks & jumps great for a cue purchased for 40 bucks on E-bay)

1- McDermott M1-2P, 314, Triangle med.
2- Predator SP4RW, 314, Moori med
3- Predator SK2 no wrap (it's for sale. btw)

Custom Jacoby, original shaft, Hercules tip
Joss SP, Predator 314-1 shaft, Triangle tip
Sledgehammer JB

Current Playing Cue, Predator SPJ series Sneaky Pete with original 314 shaft (Sniper Tip)

Backup cue, my first cue and for some reason one that I can't let go of, Minnesota Fats (not graphite) with original shaft (however it has been re-tappered and had a new ferrule installed) (Triangle Tip) - and on another note, I can't figure out why this cue hits so good, I've shot with cues that cost 30 times as much (the cue cost me 30 bucks, so thats $900) that I didn't like as much as this cue. Maybe I'll start a thread in the near future discussing cheap cues that hit like expensive ones...

Statistics For Survey

Just finished the 1st page, and thought I'd better start the statistics post. As with the 1st post, I'll upgrade this as info comes in. Thanks for all the replies, I'll try to do a couple of pages a day, updating as I go.
