Determine if browser related.
1. Try on the same machine with a different browser. If you're using IE or Safari, then try with Firefox. If you're using Firefox, then try with IE or Safari. If its slow on one browser, and not the other then clear the cookies and cache.
As a benchmark, I use Firefox with Adblock enabled.
