AZB closed due to snow?

I got a Email from a watch forum that they were having vicious attacks from somewhere in Russia and they were attacking many forums. Could be the same problem here.

High Winds, Snow, and Cold Weather in AZ LAND caued a Wind/Snow/Cold Closure of the State of AZ!

It's been sporatic for me today. Up & down! Sometimes it works great and a few minutes later it's completely down.

word on the street is dippy dave won AZB on a prop bet....he's killing the bandwidth multi-tabling online.

Server crashed early this afternoon. The hosts brought the server back online but it crashed a database. After I fixed the database, the reindex crashed the server again.

And this after I joked with Jerry that I wouldn't crash the sites today.

Not a good day.

Been real iffy today.

Fwiw, not sure if this will help, yesterday it kept sending me to a whole different page.
I have the forum saved favorites so it wasn't a misspelling type of thing.

The header was azbilliards but it was more of a generic links page...mostly pool related. Tables, cues, games ect. Also selling domain names citing a few pool related site names. Not this site at all.

This was for at least an hour or so yesterday (maybe longer, but at least an hour) at around 2pm est.
Just passing this along, probably mentioned already...but if it helps sort something out, well there ya go.
Felt like the site had been jacked.

Don't let that Spiderweb.com dude get after 'em, he'll put you in a pickle once he gets his ad hominem top gear going. The host will dump you so fast, AZB will be peddling a bike for electricity while holding an antenna looking for free wi-fi.

The main forum time stamps indicate that az was down today from approx 3:30 - 7:00pm.

FYI, Mike, yesterday, a few times during the afternoon I was unable to access azb and was instead re-directed to a Network Solutions parking page. This page offered a number of pool related ad links as well as non-pool related ad links. It was definitely not azb.

Best,
Brian kc

EDIT: I see Thunderball (2 posts up) got the same thing.

Did you guys sell the site to the Canadians?

Random ad's will be showing up everywhere soon, LOL.

Damn. Nothing but static on the screen for hours -- it was like 1950s television. :p

This particular problem may have been at least partly due to a DNS update sometime yesterday morning. After that, if you tried to reach AZB with the browser then you got the parking page as KC described; if you used something else (e.g., ping) you got the IP address of the mail server for some company on the east coast. The tech I talked to at Network Solutions didn't exactly say there'd been a problem, but I saw another update around 1500 Central and AZB's correct IP address reappeared.

It'd be interesting to know the mechanisms/events that allowed the observed results.

Good news/and not so much
