The Jake H cue is ahead IMO because it is refreshingly different without being strange or overdone . If I could pick one cue to own personally though it would be Jimmy's Gina. As far as the Szamboti goes its really only great because of the name. Don't get me wrong it's a killer Szamboti but nothing new or different. Congrats to all the owners you should all be proud great cues all around
This is very true. The cue I voted for, is not necessarily the cue out of the bunch I would love to own.

When is a winner announced? or determined?

I see about a 10 way tie.

One thing that throws me off is criteria. We are all voting based on our own criteria. Whether it's execution, technique, innovation. I cast my vote based in that order. I would be interested to hear how/why every one cast their vote.
This is a lot of fun BTW!
Those are some great points, and next year's Cue of the Year will have more criteria tied to it.

I really hope not.....
I say vote how you like based on whatever you like. Anything else is just telling us that some people don't like how or why we are voting. It seems to begin to tell me what I am supposed to like and why. Personally, I don't like that. I am the only expert qualified to state what I like and why I like it, there is in fact nobody more superior in cue expertise when it comes to the matter of deciding what I like. :grin-square:
Maybe we should create a test to qualify people to vote? People with higher scores on the test could get more than one vote.
Anyway, I think over-organizing it and over-managing it would simply make it less fun.
.
The only reason a significant new cue will not be posted in this year's group is if the owner chooses not to have it posted in public.
<--- Wonders if his new cue will be significant enough to make the cut this year...
I'm not going to exclude any cue Zack... all I'm saying is if I know of a cue that is not submitted but should be, then I will seek it out. I'm probably not going to go out of my way for a standard 4 point 4 veneer players cue, but that does not mean someone can't submit one.
