JoeyA it is true I would try you some rotation game pool but in 1p I need weight. I play once a week and just started learning 1p after my first son was born (2000). You and I have played before at the DCC. 10ball is pretty close between us but you know I have no chance playing you one hole. I might as well just take you out for dinner instead, that way I still spend 50 on ya but save myself the torture of being against a stack of balls all night instead of a stack of Louisiana crawfish.

If any Miami AZBers want to play a set of nineball for AZB king of Miami, I am game. TheBigHurt is likely the AZB king of south florida but I wouldnt mind a shot at the Miami title. If that fails I can always try the AZB king of Pinecrest florida. Or maybe th AZB king of SW 96th street. If it comes down to it I might have to settle on being AZB king of my master bathroom. Just try to win there!

As far as that not knowing one pocket business goes. The year 2000 was quite some time ago. An accomplished player with your credits would have this 1 pocket game down already although I do enjoy a platter of crawfish from time to time.

Maybe that's the way to do it. Just announce for your "STATE": AZB King Crown Match offered by "your screen name" and let those who want to challenge bark up a storm.

The need for a Secretary

Someone must be responsible for recording the records and keeping track of the matches.

That would be the first order of business.

If this goes off fairly well, it might become a STICKY NOTE on the main page. :thumbup:

I don't think there will be that many matches each week to keep the thread alive but a Sticky Note for "AZ Billiards King" would be an easy way to keep tabs on who's playing who when. That way wagers could be made individually between those who choose to do so.

Who has more time on their hands to spare and is responsible enough to keep up with the records for through the remaining of the year. (The job might have to be shifted around from time to time.)

You should have mentioned me ONLY if you want everyone to question your sanity, judgement, and intellect. On the other hand, I held my own with satman on the bar table this year; so I think he's ducking me now (I still can't get him to play on the 9 footer in Betmore's Basement).

You are always welcome to visit - I will have 2 weeks in August where the wife is away, and I definitely need some opponents during the interval.

So....very, very quickly let me add that I am now officially the Indiana AZB straight pool King (anyone silly enough to disagree should show up at Betmore's Basement with $50 and we'll race to 150).

It is actually the weekend of August 22/23/24 that is free (the preceeding weekend has actually been filled with pool since the previous post). I like the idea of race to 2 games (100 points each)...definitely a fair contest.

If your game is something else then you'll just have to take it from me first and you can change it later, however, you must give your new opponent the option of playing you at the same game, in the same format, at the same amount that you won it at.

(Edit - I furthermore decree that if you pronounce Illinois with an "s" or a "z" at the end anytime during the match, you are permanently disqualified from EVER contending for the throne!)
