AZB King!

Looks like there is some more AZB King Action!
Luxury and I will be playing a race to 7 9-Ball (9 only counts as the last ball on table). At JJ's Bar and Grill in Kent, Washington (State), Across HW 99 from Highline Community College at 7:30pm.
As for speed, I am a TAP 4 and I believe he is either a 5-6 or maybe a 7. (that's Washington TAP, equivalent to about a 3 and 4-5 respectively in any East Coast, Middle America TAP league. IMHO)

What speed is a TAP 4? Please say what you think would be average B&R's in a race to 9 for a TAP 4 and a TAP 7?

mmm, I couldn't tell you, umm... I don't really know, put it this way, in TAP if Luxury is a 7 he would have to give me 3 games on the wire, I would race to 4 and he would race to 7. Basically he would have to give me the difference in our ratings. So if he is a 6 he would give me 2 games on the wire, etc. I can only estimate what his actual rating is based off of the current TAP standings at www.tapleague.com for Thursday nights. It unfortunetly doesn't give me his actual rating. In straight pool my high run is 8 if that tells you anything

Props to rcarson for having the guts to go heads up against anyone in Wa for the title and $50. I am not a 7 which is the highest rating but I am a 6 so he will have his work cut out for him playing a race to 7 heads up.
However I don't feel bad taking this action as I was willing to play him heads up without knowing who he was. Not to mention that if I win the $50 I will have to give it right back to any king challenger who is a b player or above.
Well I'm typing this from my iPhone cuz we just finished our king match for Washington. Luxury vs RCarson went hill hill with $50 posted from each of us. Robert is a perfect gentleman and has a great game. I had to bank the 8 and make the 9 in a small side pocket for the cheese and the title. I loved every minute of it and I think this is a great idea.

Luxury is currently the King of Washington and well deserved. Again we went hill-hill and it was very good out on Luxury's part. I think this was the first "AZB King" challenge match. I know that washington isn't necessarily known as a "pool" state but we do have some great players here. I am curious to see who will challenge Luxury in our states next AZB King challenge. I am sure that some great match-ups will come from these AZB King challenges in other states/regions. I wish I would have brought my video camera to tape our match. It would have been nice to share with everyone for sure.

Still working out specific date/time, but it may be this Friday, 6PM at Lucky's.
The challenger is Tanner Pruess, so it's going to be a VERY tough match for me. But I will play my best and see what happens.
We will be playing race to 9, 9 ball on a 9' Diamond Pro. Wow. lots'a 9s.
