I just noticed there isn't an article on the front page of AzB touting Jason's 714 run. Am I just missing it, and if not why wouldn't this be a front page story?

Many people complain in the pool world about not getting write ups.
Mike has mentioned it before....same goes for newspapers.....submitting a report gets results.
So you’re saying basically it’s just like the mainstream media around here, you have to submit (pay) your story to get a write up?

I can see if it’s an announcement about a regional tournament or something obscure, but dang- this is kind of a big deal and I would think the owner of AzB would want that on his front page. But I guess you gotta write that check first.

Lou had mentioned they are waiting on the runs certification before any press releases, at least that is how I read it.
Thanks. That makes sense. Still think their should be some mentioning of it. It actually got me looking for the front page.

Sorry your fishless.

Yup, Lou is on the committee.

I predict it will be like one of these. Either omitting the 626 entirely, or mentioning it but not the player.

Jayson Shaw Topples Willie Mosconi

On Jan x, 2022, Jayson Shaw of Xyz, Scotland, pocketed 714 consecutive balls on a pocket billiards table. This amazing feat toppled Willie Mosconi’s record of 526 consecutive balls, pocketed in the year 1956. A new world record exhibition bar has been set.

…add Jayson’s comments, add other pro’s comments, etc.

Edit: fixed spelling of Jayson

Shouldn't it say from Scotland currently living in Connecticut USA?
Whatever it will end up saying, you can bet if it gets picked up by the traditional media outlets, they will go by whatever information is fed to them. There won’t be any independent research by them.

Dual citizenship? Or some form of work visa?

I have yet to figure out how these foreign pool players get to spend so much time over here (in the US) and I am curious. Can anyone educate me on this question?

Maniac (not trying to stir up any sh*t)

Catfishing.

The number of lonely women with good credit out there is surprisingly large.

WTF are you talking about? Someone has to give Mike the story to post. Do you think he has all the details? Is he expected to do research and hold interviews and make his own write-up? No one has to pay anything, just send in the info.
