AZB Player Rankings

Does anyone know how AZB figures player rankings? Seems a little cryptic to me.

Here are my points of discussion:

Me, Dave Segal - 841
Jay Helfert - 2293
Landon Shuffet - 931
Steve Lipsky - 1052

Ok, first of all, I'm a mediocre player at BEST. I had one decent tournament almost a decade ago at the PA State 9-ball where I tied for 17th (I think) w/ Bustamante and finished higher than Lebron, but lower than Efren and Hopkins. It was a $75 tournament (which means, it's a fun-tournament as far as I'm concerned).

I'll pick on Jay because he's fun to pick on. I can't beat Jay at any game, or probably other games such as pitching quarters, golf, darts, or ping pong. Heck, I can't even spell ping pong and you can spot me the ING and the ONG! So, how am I 1400 pts ahead of Jay? Wasn't he Ronnie Allen's road buddy???

Landon Shuffett. Gifted young pool player who I'd trade my mother in for his stroke. JUST beat Earl-the-Pearl (gazillion time world champion) the other day. Yup, Landon, I'm leading him in the ratings too. ah-ha ;)

Steve Lipsky. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
*catching my breath*
AHHHHHHHHHHH AAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA WHOAAAAAAAA AHAHAHHAHAHAA

Yeah, I got Steve by a few hundred rating pts too. Man, if THAT isn't the joke of the Milky Way Galaxy or what?

I'm not complaining, but man... someone please explain how this is figured out. I haven't hit the $-line in a BIG tournament in 7 years!! I afraid if I beat anyone with clout I'll be top 50 next time!

Sheeesh! Does anyone know?

It's all about popularity. Your rank is determined by the number of page hits your profile gets.

Ahhh - I thought it was tournament payouts! In that case, maybe I can spot Jay the 7! j/k

The way I'm playing now, I need it.

I was totally kidding. I'd make money by not playing. If I even THOUGHT about gambling w/ you, I'd call: 800-GAM-BLER and consult w/ a specialist before getting into the action.

I'm sure they'd say: "Dave, just give us $500, we'll kick you in the nuts, and you can call it even.":p

Trade your mother in law for Landon's stroke..........

Hell I would trade my mother in law for 2 free hours table time down at the local hall!

It's really very simple - All you have to do is tell your relatives to make your profile their homepage. Obviously, this is what Bustamante does. I mean, who's even heard of that guy?

From the AZB homepage, click PLAYERS and then click on PLAYER FINDER or something like that and you can find your name and everyone else's name listed with tournament winnings, etc... as well as your listed AZB "ranking."

They make it seem like it's your "tour" rank or something, hahaha. Now that I know that, I'm going to click on mine 100000x so I can be ahead of Bustamante and Efren. People will think I'm the unsung warrior, some unknown mega-God.

Wow, that's cool! I just found out that I won $125 in Reno in 2005. I've never even been to Nevada, but I tied with Jose Parica (...for last place...)!!!

But, I also dropped 1314 points last week. Could be because I was on vacation and didn't post or even browse here. I'm making up for lost time though!
