Azbilliards' Person Of The Year

I really can't think of anyone who contributes more to this forum than Eydie Romano. When I grow up, I want to be just like Eydie.

There is no question that 2006 will be remembered as the year that John Schmidt posted looking for a backer, got Purdman onboard, and then proceeded to take down the U.S. Open.

The prize should be split between these two men.:)

My first choice would be AzHousePro, for creating this forum, but that may be a conflict of interests.

My next choices would be a tie between Timberly and Jam. I think we all know why.

After that, I would have to nominate Purdman, for stepping up and sponsoring John S. for the U.S. Open.

Of course, I will keep my name available for nomination. :D :D :D

While this is an excellent idea and a method of process needs to established, I would like to nominate posthumously:

OldHasBeen
Tom Ferry

And I would add Chris Cass to your list.

How about makin a list of all the differant catagory's...have nominated names to each catagory made then have a poll put up for the votes...

My .02

I would like to personally nominate all you people who make this entire experience possible! To pick out one outstanding individual, I would nominate myself, for I am outstanding in a field a lot of the time stoned.:D
All you folks make Az what it is. Thanks, Purdman:cool:

colin; for his extensive instructional posts, totaly free, totaly awsome. especially his latest break video. here's a guy who's not scared to share everything he knows with others. He really is THE man who has helped me the most this year and is the reason for my increase in playing level.

linda: for just being the coolest woman around. helping with donations, even events that are thousand of miles away from her home, for all her fun posts, for reports.

purdman: for having the balls to back john, and for something personal :)

snapshot: for just being there for me as a bro

myself: for being the most silly poster around :p

Mrwilson; for making it all posible.

While I appreciate the nods, I'm just the cyber bouncer.

Mike is the guy paying the bills and keeping the lights on for all of us.

colin made a difference big thanks!!!

amen :)

(ps i still dont get the bhe :p but i will soon. first i need 4 months to master the break. next step will be the BHE )

Yep, I have to put Colin Colenso at the top of my list, as long as Wilson is demurring
Jam
Blackjack
SJM
Cornerman Fred Agnir is up there too with Bob Jewett
Tom Ferry
Still, some of the biggest impact ideas I've gotten are from those that wouldn't be nominated.

Having said all this, I wouldn't want to have just one.
I also don't want to have it a formal 'award'. I like having a thread like this that allows us to informally recognize people.
Snapshot, Varney,ummm and more

Mike wins hands down so the first year goes to Mike. Now what about next year. So much for being the head honcho. :-)

Colin Colenso
Bob Jewett
SJM
Blackjack

In my opinion, these four are the best "teachers" on here, in terms of using this online format to get across information that will actually help players play better. I don't mean to discount the ability of some others, particularly the pool school guys, to be great instructors in an in-person/lessons format, but on the forum I learn the most from these guys.
