Well then, let me say this:
CJ, I appreciate that you share the info you do. While I also do not agree with 100% of it, I very much support your ability to say what you think and not get crapped on for it. Many of the ideas you have said have helped me.
Here is the thing I feel like a lot of the complainers are missing: If you don't like what CJ or anyone else has to say, *AND* you want to consider yourself an intelligent person, then you already know that you have the ability to NOT CARE about his posts. You simply move along and don't bother with it. We ALL have this capability. If you feel a compulsion to berate CJ or discredit his ideas, you really need to take a careful look at yourself and figure out what is DRIVING you to speak up about it. I happen to enjoy a good argument...and by that I mean "argument" in the logical sense. I like boiling down the conclusions people profess to their underlying premises. I can't believe how often people's arguments rest upon premises that they don't even believe themselves. So there is a certain entertainment value to try and see if this can be made clear to another person. I'm not going to lie...sometimes I offer posts that contradict what someone says just to see if they can support their claim. Maybe it makes me feel smart...who knows. I consider myself a fairly intelligent person. However I am human and am susceptible to the need to "show my worth", sometimes if even only for myself. I try very very hard to word my contentions in such a way as to be respectful, and in my heart I genuinely do want to walk towards truth with whomever I am talking to, even if that walk has to leave some idea by the wayside. Try as a may, I fail all the time I'm sure.
So to CJ, or any of the CJ's out there, sorry if I ever come across as an ass. I think EVERYONE that has ideas about pool should feel free to post them. People whose accomplishments in the game are at a high level should be especially encouraged to do so. Even if every word they say is wrong and totally uninformed...the dumb people shouldn't be criticizing, and the smart people should know better. See how that covers everyone? I think stating a flaw in someone else's ideas is great! They should think so too. It provides the opportunity for debate, and anyone with an open mind should learn something from that process.
In any case, thanks for posting your views CJ, no matter how whacked out and stupid they may be (haha just kidding I'm sure you know!)

Damn! Here it is, 3:49 in the freaking morning and I'm sitting here posting. I can't sleep I tell you. I can't sleep. Johnson has got me so upset I don't know whether to shit or go blind. My IQ dropped at least 20 points, and I've lost my appetite. Will this never end? Will CJ and Dad ever reconcile. Will 'Hustler' win an Emmy? Stay tuned. :smile:

I agree. We all used to be much more collegial. But then you say the tiniest little thing, insulting someone's sacred cow, and everyone enters a downward spiral that's impossible to pull up out of.

Although going blind would probably not hurt your pool game it would be inconvenient in other areas. I therefore would recommend the alternative.

No actually I thought it was hilarious. I've been maxed out on rep for as long as I can remember, no problem at all.
I truly appreciate the numerous contributions you've made to help us understand the physics of pool.
It's called the "nuthugger" jockstrap. Two styles: one for nuthuggers and the other for non-nuthuggers.
One gets a discount and the other one doesn't. :grin:

Dr. Dave, and his mentor PJ, are two of the best pool psychics we have around here. They can see into the future and predict how good a player your are now, as well as how good you'll be ten years from now. Or, at least five.
