AZ'er Darren "Dynamite" Appleton in the Finals of The World 10 Ball. Go Daz!!!!

Darren just beat Neils 11-9 in a 3.5 hour match. He plays Wu for the title.

Darren posts here on occasion and is one of the nicest guys in the game. I have had the pleasure of getting to know and hang out with him at several events over the last year or so and just wanted to wish him good luck. Aside from being a friendly and funny guy he is stone killer on the table.

All of your buddies from TAR and crew will be rooting you on pal. Now go get that money kid. :D
 
I've been a fan of DAZ since the TAR match in Vegas this year. He is a class act, I'm pulling for him! Get em DAZ!!!

Yeah, I watched it and it was a real treat while I was stuck in bed - recuperating :grin-square: I was a little upset how brutal the commentators were to these players. Especially the one named Anthony? (not sure) Constantly criticizing how slow these two played and wondering out loud how they ended up in the semi-finals... He was never sympathetic to the fact they were playing for a world title and maybe a bit more nervous than playing average match:mad:

** Note to TAR, these guys will never commentate for TAR, lol.

But Good match to Daz! I always liked his game:thumbup:

He's got another monster to face for the final. It will be a great match.

Awesome stuff Daz, congrats pal!

The commentators were appauling really, they should of realised the pressure both Daz and Niels were under and cut them some slack.

Don't get me started on that Chuck guy, he doesn't have any credentials to call a game of pool and the number of wrong shots he was calling, it was ridiculous!

The commentators were just out of line on multiple occasions. A few times one of the guys could see like a half the ball shooting into half a pocket with no decent safety available and when they rattled the ball one of the stooges would say "He missed ANOTHER easy one" Terrible.

Man I hope Daz snaps this thing off. That would be so cool.
 
Good luck to Darren. He is a funny guy with a great personality and I am pulling for him to take this down.

I think, if I've worked this out right, it will be on at 3am eastern time (8am here in the U.K).

Niels Feijen about the semifinal:
"Had a grinder of a match vs Appleton and didn't pull it off. Have a hard time with these players who slow the whole match down. Match took 3,5 hours and everything gets hard after some hours. Went up 4-1 and felt good. Missed a half tough 2ball and Darren ran 3 racks back. Missed two open chances after that which really hurt. Still made it 7-6 and was in command with a good safe. Darren kicked it and left me full snooker. Jumped it but left a shot and 7-7 on the board.

From there on it was just a fight for every inch with Darren kicking and played safe excellent.

Went down 7-9, kicked in a 7ball for 8-9 and made it 9-9. Broke in a ball but got almost frozen on the 1...Safety battle which went his way 9-10. Got a chance in the next and had a funky shot on the 4ball. Another safety battle and Darren ran out for 9-11. Should have done two things: Keep track of the time and demand a shotclock and keep focused on my own rule, never go down ducking. That's what I did now, had a bank on the 4ball in the last game, decided to play it safe and still didn't win.. Got a little distracted with the pricemoney difference also when it got so close. the gaps are so big and you're not allowed to think about it but it's not just another rack, it's worth a lot.."

i must admit today i didnt feel good didnt sleep much lst night around 4hrs tops.. woke up with head cold.. and headace.. played solid with williams

then 4 hour wait seemed to drain me mentally... i felt awefull to be honest ... but started ok then on the 8ball at 1-1 guy takes picture in my eyeline miss iot by mile... at 4-4 the 7ball i missed rolled of the right thats why miss it miss it thin.. tables rolls to the right hand side very dissapointing the tables not level for world champs..

from 6-4 yannick was massive help to me i was low mentally and not much left but he gave me a big talking to ..and that gave me determination to keep fighting...niels missed some amazing balls...at 9-8 to me was sickner when he made 2 balls and cue ball was going towards middle but rolled of.. but thankfully held myself together last 2 racks somehow lol

exhausted and relieved and happy rolled into one..

one thing for sure i will play better tmrw have good rest tonight hopefully wake up feeling good and feel i have everything chance..
just hope i play to level i can play to if do then could be best day of my life ....but take one ball at time ..
