Anybody ever purchase any thing from this AZ'er. I'm trying to buy a cue, but seems to be adverse to PayPal and COD payment.

I have not bought from him, but I have sold to him. He mailed me a money order. Sent it out when he said he would and deal went without a hitch.

Don't know if it helps or not since you are the one buying, but my experience with him was good.

Buying/Selling

Some people are more cautious when doing business with someone you has a 0 I-trader.

Payment

I have offered to pay via PayPal and certified funds via COD as well as asked him to list the item on eBay and I will buy it. Why would I send certified funds to someone I don't know and have no assurance of receiving the product I am attempting to purchase. If someone is selling items on the Internet legitimately one or all of these options would be acceptable. How bout you send me 100 dollar money order and I will send you back $120 in cash, would you like to make a deal?

This is silly. If he guy won't sell in a way that suits you go find someone that will. Starting a thread to pressure him to do it your way is punk. Go away.

Thanks

Hi guys. This person wants a cue. Gave me a low ball price and I tried to work with him to sell it.
He has ZERO iTraders and wants me to send him the cue COD & then he'll send the money. I said NO WAY. Then he said PayPal & I said rather not because of fees. He raised the price to cover fees & I said fine. Gave him my e-mail for paypay and said once the funds clear into my account I will ship the cue.
I don't see a problem here. Just because he doesn't like my policy he wants to complain.......
Well, sorry. Get some positive iTrader feedback first and then set your own policy for selling.
I see no problem with me not sending an item COD ..........
How many people here on AZ would send an item to someone with NO feedback COD? I'd bet none - if smart.
And thanks for the positives from all those I've done business with over the years.

Overcut,

It sounds like you two are talking about the term COD in a different manner. In my definition COD means the shipping company collects the funds before delivering the product meaning Fedex/UPS will verify you have certified funds before they turn over the cue. I think you might be thinking he wants to send money to you directly after you send the cue, but by my reading this he wants to have the funds verified by UPS/Fedex. Your risk is minimal in this case.

I saw the cue you are selling overcut its a nice cue. Good luck you two I hope you can facilitate a deal. I would offer to escrow it but my trader on here is still being built.

I would send to anyone COD. Did it for years when I was in the USA. Most of my buyers had zero previous transactions with me. COD is Cash on Delivery which is safe as long as you don't allow the acceptance of checks.

PayPal, credit cards and checks are much more dangerous. All three WILL debit your account IMMEDIATELY if there is any kind of dispute. Then you have to jump through hoops to prove you delivered the goods with not a lot of chance on your side.

Maybe there is a misunderstanding on the sellers part of what a COD delivery is. Like JB and Limpkin have posted, I wanted to provide a money order upon delivery and thought it was very odd that this was not acceptable, so I became very uncomfortable. I'm not trying to upset anyone, was just hoping to have both parties protected.

the seller says he offered you the option to either pay via paypal or mail him the payment and, either way, the cue would be shipped once payment has cleared.

the seller is established with a good track record here and you have no history at all.

why would you be asking him to make an exception to his policy for you?

More importantly, what part of his payment policy seems unreasonable to you?

And finally, what exactly was the point of your posting this thread?

best,
brian kc

Sounds like a reasonable arrangement to me...and I also wonder why he started this thread.

I don't understand this all either guys. We each have policies for selling & if you don't like them then don't buy - it's that simple. I have had problems/issues with COD before and just don't want to use it. It's my option. If anyone wants items to clear 1st before selling that's their option (I know many that go by this method). I think most would want the funds to clear before shipping. I do with those I don't know. Also, I see this morning that he changed his original post. Interesting.
It's ok.... I stand buy my iTraders & am appreciative with those I've bought, sold & traded with over the years. I know we cannot expect to please everyone.
Wishing everyone all the best.

yes... WHY?

i hope all this STARTED because you are trying to buy a cue that is over 2000.00 at least ...
and if YES, ill back OverCutAnything in case something wrong happen...

if you have 0/0% on az, i would not ship until i have money CLEAR ... simple as that....

he is a super honest guy to deal with....

I didn't want to say it earlier, but that is really the only way to be sure there will be no issues with a sale...

It's really simple. Meet the sellers term or don't buy. He seems more than reasonable, I don't get why you'd start a thread when he has ample feedback and very reasonable requirement when buying from him.
