I'm trying to help a friend out who has a Balabushka built in the early 60's. It has a LOA from Pete Tascarella. He's looking for offers. The cue is as follows: SS joint 5/16X14 SS screw, black phenolic trim collar. Straight maple forearm (Burton Spain full splice) with Brazilian Rosewood centers and handle. The veneers are black, blue, red, and white, with a Hoppe style bottom. Wrap is green spec Irish Linen. Butt sleeve is Brazilian Rosewood, with an Ivory wedge, and a black phenolic butt cap, with a brown Balabushka style rubber bumper, secured with an allen screw. Butt length is approximately 28.75 inches, and its overall weight is dependent upon which shaft is used. Median weight is approximately 19.25 ounces. The cue has 5 shafts, one is 28.25 inches in length @ 12.75mm, and its maker is unknown. Two additional shafts by Burton Spain are 29.25 inches in length at 13mm, and two Tascarella shafts, which are 29.50 inches in length at 13mm. All the shafts have synthetic ferrules. Cue is sound, completely restored, and in beautiful condition. It has one spot on the trim ring below the joint where the finish has appeared to separate from the cue. It looks like an air bubble under the finish. So, if anyone is interested in this cue please send me a PM with your best offer. Thanks for looking. I've got pictures of this cue but they are too big to fit. Sorry but I'm not that computer savy. So send me your email address and I will gladly send you the photos.
