Had a bludworth till the direct drive from the motor to the platter got unbalanced and ruined a set of centennials.

Have a diamond duel platter and have not looked back once.

Clean the balls by hand with Mr. clean pads. Then I use a bucket polisher I built with Mothers Cordova wax.

I have a Diamond ball polisher. I use one of the two products recommended by Diamond for use with their machine - Maguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer.

They also recommend the Aramith ball polish but I prefer the Maguiars because it isn't so pasty/creamy but more of a liquid that works from a spray bottle so it doesn't gum up the pads and is easier to use. I just set the balls in motion and give them a couple of squirts while they're spinning. It also isn't gritty so it should cause less wear over the long run.

I used to use Brillianize when I did them by hand. When I got the Diamond I tried both the Brillianize and the Maguiars. The Maguiars polished the balls better. Neither of these products leave a residue.

Give the Maguiars a try, it's only about $10 for a good size bottle. If you end up going with something else you can always use it on your car. They have a couple of different "Quick Detailer" products and an Ultimate Quik Wax that's in a very similar bottle, but specifically get the "ULTIMATE Quik DETAILER" as recommended by Diamond:

It's available at most big box auto supply stores.

I made one from a bucket, carpet, glue, zip ties and an electric buffer turned upside down. Cost $40. Works great. I use a monitor cleaning spray on the balls. They come out stunning after 7 minutes. I do 6 balls at a time. Seems to clean better that way.

It is beyond me why people want to WAX their cue balls!!!!! i.e. If you want to practice using balls with no cling and then go play in the real world where the balls are dirty as heck then more power to you.

I also use the diamond machine with Brillianize. Expensive, but oh so worth it.

vibrate your balls

I use this device to polish the balls. I think I paid about $30.00 for this machine several years ago. Throw in an old hat or some old underware. Place the balls in the belly and spray some LEMON PLEDGE furniture polish on the balls, turn on for 5 minutes and they will shine. The balls shown in the photo are not polished, I was afraid that the shine would blind some of you AZ ers who are viewing. All kidding aside, this works great!

After years of hand polishing with arimath solution and their cloth, I finally decided to spring for the double platter diamond polisher. I have used the Maguires cleaner wax (that Glen recommends) and the two recommended by diamond......Maguires quick detail and the arimath solution diluted with water (about 10 to 1).
I am careful to use one platter for "wax on" only and one for "wax off" only.
Also, in an effort to avoid the dreaded "build up" I wipe the carpets right after each use with a wet terry rag.
All the solutions work. I thoughrt the Maguires quick detail left the least noticable residue.
In all honesty, my best results were by hand with undiluted arimath and their cloth! However, I will never go back to that system. The diamond is very nice and easy to use. I am still searching for the perfect solution that would do as good a job as full strength arimath by hand. Have never tried the brillianize yet.
Good Luck with your choice!

I have a Diamond single platter. I use Aramith ball cleaner, squirting some of it on a cloth and rubbing a set of eight balls with it. Then I repeat with the second set of eight. From there, I'll go a week without using more polish, letting the residual polish on the machine's pads do the job. Works great and no build up.

About how long of cycles do you run doing it that way Lou?
Thanks.
